**I THINK THEY WILL BE DISAPPOINTED**

5 Bold Predictions for the 2011 Season
by PaulSF on Jan 18, 2011 3:59 PM PST in Oregon Ducks Football

because it's never too early to make outlandish and bold predictions, here is 1 for the 2011 season:

1. Oregon will beat LSU in Dallas to start the season.
Right now, it seems like this game is more or less a toss-up. But after closer examination, it's looking like Oregon's to lose. To start with, in addition to the departure of several senior defensive standouts (Lazarius Levingston, Drake Nevis, and Kelvin Sheppard), the Bayou Bengals lose All-American cornerback Patrick Peterson and leading rusher Stevan Ridley to the NFL Draft, as well as their offensive coordinator to Maryland (whom we're all familiar with...and no, Crowton haters, getting rid of your coordinator, no matter who he is, isn't an advantage in the season's first game). Oh, and they didn't lose certifiably insane head coach Les Miles to Michigan. Just ask yourself this question: Who wins the coaching duel between Chip Kelly and the Mad Hatter? That's like asking who's smarter: Stephen Hawking or Paris Hilton? Advantage: Oregon.

And how did that work out for you when Chip Kelly dueled Gene Chizak? I would say Kelly coached a better game, but this proves it may not come down the coaches, but rather the talent on the field.

this made me laugh. Our defense is predicted to be even better next season (I agree someone has to step up as a leader before then), and saying that a change in OC is not going to help our offense is just ludicrous. Who is this guy? Does he not realize where we ranked in offense last season? What's the worst that could happen? the offense is going to come out and be one of the worst in the country? Oh wait... that happened last year and we won 11 games...

Les outcoached Saban and Francione, yet was outschemed by Dooley and the likes... makes no sense really.

he unveiled a retarded new three back offense for the biggest game of his career that looked like shite, he decided to leave Nick Fairley completely unblocked 40% of the time and generally coached like a 15 year old playing Madden online.

I realize it's a prediction, but predictions this far out in advance are really worthless ... as is this guy's. I think a more solid prediction could be made after national signing day, spring practice, fall practice, but that's just me.

I guarantee Miles loves reading shite like this.

I think of the SNL skit where Reagan is portrayed as a bumbling, old senial geezer in the public; where behind closed doors he's an arse-kicker who has complete control of every detail. That's Miles to me.
