LSU needs to understand this weekend was the only weekend in October w/o home game. People had bunch of stuff planned for this date. Sorry but I'm season ticket holder for 20 years but had personal things slammed into this weekend

As someone said on an earlier Baton Rouge sports talk radio, time for a few big time LSU corporate sponsors to pony up and do like Shoetown used to do for Tulane and buy up a block of tickets and just hand out for free for high school football teams,

That's a great idea. That's what happened for the record-breaking crowd in the Superdome when the basketball team played Georgetown. Official paid attendance was about 65,000, actual was 54,000. They had months to get that done, but they could probably have beaten those numbers in three days for this game. It's probably too late for it to accomplish much at this point, but it would have been a great idea even as late as yesterday.

What happens to the So Carolina fans that already had tickets? If they make the trip do they just walk in?

So finally the real market value of tickets is known. Season ticket holders artificially inflate the price of tickets but lsu wouldn't be able to field a team without them. They subsidize the real fans want to pretend to attend a game

Alcohol can make one honest.

Too bad alcohol isn't consumed in Tiger Stadium.

All these people had "plans"? BS! I plan to be watching the damn game! If I lived closer than 1100 miles away within a decent driving distance I would be there. These are the same people that make these same excuses not to attend the spring game.

Isn't even Dan Borne missing this game because of a wedding?

It's gonna look shitty on TV, and a lot of the goodwill we earned by hosting the game will be replaced by "look how LSU fans treated this like a Spring Game." It sucks, but you're asking to populate the fifth biggest city in the state on three days notice. It is what it is. Let's just win it, and start looking to next weekend when I can promise that stadium will return to the atmosphere people expect.

Yep Dan borne isn't going because of a wedding. I have buddy (co-worker) who is a season ticket holder by the way getting married at 6pm. That's why I can't go.
