Except this isn't a regular SEC game, and the opposing SEC team is awful.
I didn't realize this game didn't count in the standings. Guess we only have a 10 game season now?

he circumstances around this game (short notice being the biggest) dictate that the price should be lower
1. South Carolina set the price.
2. LSU doesn't want a huge crowd due to lack of available resources.

They would certainly sell More tickets.
Well pretty much all of the $75 tickets have sold. It's the cheaper seats that aren't selling so your argument is void.

Gotta love all the bitching on here about fake fans taking tickets away from the working class in Louisiana and their fat asses are sitting at home for this game.
Point is...shut up about tickets already. Damn. People have other obligations when it comes to a game on short notice. When it's planned they have months to prepare.

Perfect Weather
Its going to be under 80 the majority of the day with low humidity.
Plus a nice breeze of 10 mph or so out of the North.

So South Carolina dropped the ball on this.

Pure speculation. Nobody has come out and actually said that. In fact, Alleva said much of the opposite.

My normal seats in 402 under the overhang are going to be chilly. The breeze gets drawn through the opening btwn upper and lower section. Good thing I'll be nice and warm in 102.

The reason they are letting people bring water is because they expect to be low on supply and help at concessions.
Straight Alleva's letter to the fans...
quote:
Because of the immediate nature of the game, we will not be fully staffed in our concessions areas; however, our volunteers will work as hard as possible to accommodate our fans.

Yep. If I were even remotely close to BR I would be there for damn near every home game

Sorry guys I'm out of town at Austin city limits wasn't expecting a home game. I already spent a grand on tickets travel and hotel wasn't cancelling.
This is why a ton of people arnt going they already made plans.
With that said from 230-6ish tom my arse will be firmly planted in a sports bar getting hammered watching the game before going back to the festival.

Let's cut some of the BS.
The tickets are not priced with the fee included that is 10 dollars. So it's not exactly 40-75. People already have plans. We ALL know it's going to be a complete mess above normal. Plus Louisiana gets 1 month a year that really has nice weather. It's October and this weekend was the only weekend that lsu didn't have a home game. What's wrong with people wanting to enjoy the day?
Bottom line is USCE should have recognized all this and
a) made a decision quicker
b) realized that you can't get full price for extenuating circumstances. So make some concession.

How many wives and g/f's will not go and sit in a 90 degree sun for 4 hours? They got suckered into going to the Auburn game, but they got a little smarter with that lifes lesson. I believe ticket sales would have doubled had the game been at night.

It was $1.50 fee for print at home.

NEITHER school wants a full stadium for this game.

Okay.

There are no additional fees except for $1.50 total to print at home (not per ticket, per order).

The last weekend of the month LSU has a bye.

Tanner sure as hell does NOT want a stadium full of LSU fans. The game has to be played. He can't do anything about that. I would be very surprised if Tiger Stadium isn't his choice of last resort.
Posted on 10/9/15 at 5:47 pm to Shane4689
I think their mistake was setting the time for 2:30 pm. They should have went with the 6 pm if it was a possibility. I think that would have provided a nice boost in sales. People still prefer Saturday night in Tiger Stadium and they don't care for the sun beaming on them for 3-4 hours. There are worse things in the world, but that's just how it is. At least if it was cool weather, the time would be more appealing. Constant TV broadcasts are very nice, but they spoil us a little too.
