Bob Stoops made that PERFECTLY clear at halftime of the NC game. I remember laughing my arse off at that response to Lynn Swann's question.

yep. not even debatable. mauck was a gunslinger in 2003. could run and even ran some option. record breaking offense under jimbo that year.

not even close to comparable.

We had a stable of backs that included Vincent, Broussard, Carey, Addai etc.

We had proven wide receivers. Craig Davis, Skyler Green, Dwayne Bowe, Devery Henderson, and Michael Clayton.

We had grown men at the offensive line position that included Andrew Whitworth, Nate Livings, Terrell McGill, Rudy Niswanger, Stephen Peterman, and Rodney Reed.

To compare these two teams is downright stupid. #makeitstop.

Thought you were talking about baseball with the title. Wondering why you thought this was similar to smoke laval going 2 and bbq in Omaha.

While I like the optimism. I don't think this defense is anywhere near the level of 2003.

Mauck got drafted and played in the NFL
not to mention Mauck has great intelligence, which can't be overstated for the qb position.

Everything was in place last year for a NC run, then LM happened, again.
LSU had an excellent chance at playoffs after 2-2.
If anything O could've done a better job with DL to avoid the 2 losses under Miles, who watched O's 2 losses from a recliner.

Sorry, but until this team can win in November they will be nothing more than also rans. Again that loss to a depleted UF team was really bad.

LSU had basically ZERO shot at the playoffs after starting 2-2... and you trying to blame O ant the D-line for those two losses is comical.

Why? Who are his "nut-suckers"?

Are you made that some expressly stated that he's a better coach than O? Is that really offensive?

Mauck was a sure bet to turn the ball over every game. The difference is the 03 D bailed him out every time, except UF.

Last time I checked he wasn't the LSU head coach sport. I'd recommend the SEC rant if you want to slobber on little Nicky
