LSU makes a huge mistake by not allowing you to sell your ticket rights like the Saints do. It means lots of people and companies keep extra seats and just try to sell them ( me included). Meanwhile younger fans have trouble getting the permanent season tickets that they want.

While I would prefer that an FCS team never touch the field in Tiger Stadium again, I also don't think LSU should be a martyr and make a stand just so the fans can take pride on message boards. If the other SEC teams are doing it, no reason we shouldn't do it either. Hopefully the new commissioner can wrangle support for the same deal the Big 10 did. 9 conf. games, no FCS and at least 1 P5 opponent for all 12 teams would be ideal and probably get a portion of the fans who check out to come to an extra game or 2.

If there is a GREAT FLOOD will Les be on da' boat with Noah ?

Answer:Noah would have enough animal crap to pick up and would only throw Les a lifevest with a big M on it.

Like others have said, I could financially buy season tix, but why do that when I can either get free or extremely cheap tickets for 5 games on the schedule? Most expensive game will probably be auburn depending on how they do.

There's ALWAYS one game where the STH try to make all their money back from selling below face all season.

The home schedule is terrible this year

Different strokes for different folks I guess. I'm actually looking forward to our home schedule this year.

I guess in some people's minds, if Bama isn't on the home schedule, then the home schedule sucks.

I wonder if a person gets more TAF points the longer they are a season ticket holder?
Never occurred to me until now really... you can be a TAF member, of any ranking, and never buy tickets (or stop buying them for that matter) and it won't affect your TAF ranking one bit.

ETA:
- 1609tiger makes an excellent point; would help put more asses in the seats
- I'd say the home schedule is average. Nationally, not bad because of our conference and division.
- Yeah, I'd like one of the cupcakes to be better. Some people want a ULL or Tulane but I see TAMU playing Sam Houston or Rice or SMU (or all 3) and laugh. So no. I'm all for great FCS teams making some money or the bottom half of any power-5 conference coming into town.

Expansion, decision to NEVER play a quality OOC game (unless it's a neutral site), and the possibility of AJ being the starter again are leading to a record number of available tickets.

The stadium is perfect for the big time games. It is about 10,000 too large for the average games. It is about 20,000 too large for shite games....Especially for shite games # 2 and 3... There ya go...

This year's home schedule is a dud.

OOC okay, but we have Auburn (top 10), Arkansas (top 20), Texas A&M and Florida.....honestly those are all good games...not as if they are Vandy or KY, or TN, or State...

There is no reason to have anyone worth a shite on our schedule with a young team.
How about entertaining your Season Ticket Holders, Alumni and Adult fans with OOC games that are worth attending.

Schedules are made years in advance, so there's no way to know the "Status" of the current team when the schedule was made.

The SEC office sets the Conference games, but the LSUAD puts together the non-conference schedule and it's god awful every season.

Not that interested in watching LSU run rough shod over McNeese, Eastern Michigan and Western Kentucky.

At least bring in the the two LOUISIANA schools that we have some semblance of a rivalry with. (Tulane and SWLAJC@Lafayette) Much more interest in watching the Tigers destroy the Slimers and the Rablin Acadians than the steady stream of OOC-OOS bottom feeders that Alleva/Ausberry bring in here every year.

It's comical the seat locations and prices I've gotten the last two years. I gave up my seasons two years ago after having them since 99. Turned out to be a solid decision

You keep saying this like its some kind of gotcha statement. We recruit 3 year players. Les has said that repeatedly. We continually put double digit players in the NFL every draft. We're always going to be young somewhere. We'll get 1 decent OOC game a year. It may be at home, it may not or it might be at a neutral site. Everyone in the AD knows we won't ever have a schedule full of power 5 teams. It's pretty simple really.

I don't think it's so much the schedule as much as folks don't want to give up their tickets but really don't want to go to the games anymore. Kinda like putting your beach condo on a rental plan. I also have friends who each year sell the biggest game tickets to the highest bidder to pay for the rest of the games.
