Why don’t people understand this. Yesterday before the game I started a thread about how this just felt different and we were going to make a statement. Now I didn’t mean we were putting the country in notice that we would win a natty this year. Just meant we were going to show that we were a complete team again and capable of beating anyone on a given day. Meaning that we should be respected again.
Well I think we pretty much did that. The students rushed the field not because we beat Ole Miss. They rushed the field because finally the fog of the last 2 years lifted and we showed we could hold our head high and put a competitive team on the field. That we aren’t a joke anymore and that we should be taken seriously by all.
Could we lose to Bama in 2 weeks. Sure. Good chance we probably will. Might we still have a hiccup somewhere and drop another one maybe. But all our remaking opponents slept a little less easily last night thinking about what we are capable of and if not this year what will next year or the following look like after Kelly had even more time to build this team.

We rushed the field for us and no one else . We rushed the field because we earned our self respect back. We rushed the field because we are Louisiana and we like to party and it was a reason to party.

I’d rather you rush the field after we beat Bama.

Perception matters.

Yes sir!

Most fun season I ever had as LSU fan was Saban’s first(ok other than 2019)

We rushed the field twice that year bc the fanbase could feel the beast awakening

When you have been down but now you’re back and a little pissed

That’s a good time for a program

I’d almost rather see them storm the field after a win against a lesser team than bama.

Why inflate their egos more than they already are?

BS

Winning matters

Perception is for internet warriors

My kids hit the field and then ended up hanging w a group of recruits and I saw first hand those recruits were having a great time

After 2 years of being irrelevant, I am fine with it.

I get the explanation, but still weak kid. Should have held back. Rushing it on Nov 5 would have made a little more sense, but still not ideal scenario since Bama has a loss. Now if you do it, it looks like we rush it after every conference win.

So you basically didn’t get what I was saying. The perception is we put the world on notice that we are back. Not because of who we played but because of how we played.

Plus the students were thinking about perception. They were feeling the moment. If you were a junior then last night was something you have not seen as a student. It was a coming out party and the student who “all stayed till end of game” kudos to them, partied. I was there and I loved it. Wished I was a 20 student and not a 50 y/o fart so I could have joined them.

Occupying the field is popular now, it happens most every weekend.

No issues here.

You care a little too much about what people think. Try to enjoy the games and not sweat over stuff like this

I’m guessing a lot of the people who have such a problem w this were not at the game

I felt the stadium start to bow up again yesterday and that has not happened enough recently

So F perception

Get the fans hype and make tiger stadium electric again
