You're saying most fans wouldn't enjoy winning with an undefeated season? This place has officially jumped the shark.

I've been arguing in favor of running tempo some for a while now. I've been told I'm an idiot because we don't have the defensive depth to do it.

TIFWIW.

Everybody wants a win. That's a given. Some of us like to watch good football in between the opening kickoff and final whistle.

I didn't say that. If you read my post, you'll see that I said we'd be very happy at 12-0.

My post was about the enjoyment of watching an exciting brand of football. A slow, grinding 3-2 victory, every week, isn't fun to watch.

I like the wins, just don't get much of a thrill or excitement watching the actual game.

Read my post next time before you respond.

You said it exactly actually.

When you're the one winning all those games you would, unless you're just a pain in the arse that can't be satisfied.

Then you're not much of a fan.

Thanks Chavis.

You are right, the only coach who could have done something about it was Chavis.

DBU DBU DBU

How the hell is being DBU gonna keep OL's from Wis, OM, AR, AL from pushing LSU'S DL around.

You can throw all the WR's in the mix too.

Chavis is long gone and the piss poor position recruiting is still going on. Got plenty stars though just not in the trenches. It won't get fixed either, not with the bill for LF coming due, LSU will have to recruit 4 RB's to plug that up.

you're completely missing the point. There's a difference between enjoying "wins" and enjoying watching the actual "games."

I can enjoy getting the win, but at the same time acknowledge that the game itself can be as boring as frick.

That's my point, pretty straightforward.

You said you wouldn't enjoy winning every game if it wasn't a certain style. That is the point.

Guess you hated the game of the century. Like I said, you must not be much of an actual fan. Pretty straight forward.

Only the last holdouts on this board equate winning with having to play boring, low-scoring, struggles on offense, less than 100 yards passing, 75% rushing plays, 50 offensive plays a game types of offense.

Yet the teams that are most successful these days aren't doing that. LSU is crippling itself because it either can't or won't run a system that college athletes at qb can pick up and excel in consistently, year over year. Some holdouts have come to believe that the only way you can win is by having a great defense and praying you don't need more than 13 points.

So you're saying that you would enjoy fricking a complete lard arse or some ugly toothless skank just as much as a hot girl? I mean after all, a nut is a nut right? I guess you're not much of a man if you wouldn't be that way? That's your argument that you're going with?

The end result is the end result, and you should just enjoy the end result only, or you're not much of a fan?

Game of the century should have been LSU 21 Bama 6 with a competent coach who knew how to exploit weaknesses in a team. And then there is no talk of 1-9-12 by the way.

I haven't seen anyone say that's the only way we can win.

Haven't seen anyone say that.

When, and make no mistake it will happen at some point, they make the move to a P5 they are going to become a powerhouse.

We'll see. All of the P5 expansion has centered around broadening the geographic and television footprint for a conference. In that respect, Houston makes no sense for the Big 12 or SEC. They also lack the academic clout to appeal to the ACC or the Big Ten.

I think the chance that Herman comes to LSU is significantly higher than the chance that Houston is in the Big 12 next year.

Not an apt comparison at all.

Yea, winning every game should be enjoyable to any fan.

One of Bama's best teams ever we should have destroyed at home? Bama smoked everyone that year except us, and we went into their house and won. And now you assholes say that wasn't good enough?

Not seeing the relevance there. Did someone say that style of playing would beat Bama twice?

Don't fret, they smoked LSU, too.

The comparison was perfectly fine by the way. I'm not even sure what your point is anymore. People like winning? Wow. Good work.

Yes. If the end result is competing for SEC championships then yes, that's right.

If the end result is 2, 3, or 4 conference losses, then it doesn't matter how pretty it looks otherwise.

Miles isn't getting it done at the level that he helped establish from 2005-2007. It's time for a change, but I'm not caught up on how it looks, I just want more Ws.

Houston is now the 4th largest metro area in the US. That alone makes them viable for all 5 conferences.

Completely relevant because you are consistently saying things wrong and misrepresenting things. It goes to the credibility of everything you say. Highly relevant.

Whatever you say. I know what words mean, and his words mean he only likes winning a certain way.
