Better stats though I would have to think Jennings is more talented.

Hatch lasted like a quarter against SEC competition.

He's 19 why do you keep calling him a kid? Do you feel the same way about men his age fighting in the military? Just a bunch of kids?

Dude, if they weren't kids they wouldn't join the military. There's a reason we send youngsters to fight. Everyone else would haul arse.

QB is the toughest position on the field to learn.

This. No excuse ours have played so poorly, but true freshman/RS Fr/Sophmores rarely do that well in the SEC. David Greene being the last true sophmore or younger to win a SEC championship. I believe Harris has the talent to change that next year, but he needs to put in the work and he needs to have a shot.

I'm guessing those were career stats against Bama... Which is not the point you were making...

Outside of lucking into Mett, Miles has not had a single QB he recruited be anything more than slightly above average (at best).

Ehh rp would have been the real deal.

People hail Malzahn as some genius, hed be no body if he didnt luck into cam newton. Mett was still at LSU longer than anywhere else he played.

But but he's a 5 star recruit it's gotta be that Damn Miles.

Seriously I watch the same thing before the games and came on here after about the 2nd game and said he didn't have it yet and got blasted. He will grow to be a good QB ala Rohan but it will take time period just like it did with Rohan.

Meh, I think we can reasonably assume that Jarrett Lee would have had a 2000 yard campaign his senior season.

OK. 14 games, 2000 yards.

That's about 140 yards passing per game. I would say that is at best average. Thank's for proving my point.

A system that does not require a Rhodes scholar to understand, master and execute. CC has to understand that these kids usually aren't Drew Brees or Joe Flacco and their eligibility is limited so the system can't require years to master. You are taking kids fromnspread offenses where they rarely take a direct snap from center to a multi facet multi option pro style drop back passing attack.
KISS Baby Simplify, make the system fit the talent instead of the other way around, that's why you get the big $$$$$!

Umm yes it is when you out that offense up against a defense that wants to kill you and make up mess up! It's not that easy bro.... It takes time even when the kid gets it all which probably won't be until next year sometime hopefully, he will still struggle bc he really needs to be in game action to really learn. But you don't put a guy out there to get killed which he would at this point maybe not this point bc Idk where he at now. It's truly up to him to get it and run this offense.

Well I was hoping to hear more about Harris attitude and off the field issues. All I've heard is he has a great attitude and a born leader. What have I missed?

maybe, just maybe, it's the kids.

Then we have a serious problem in talent evaluation relating to QBs.

Or maybe Harris is only a true freshman??? When did fans get to the point where if a QB isn't good as a true freshman then he's a bust? I think he's very bright and very talented and JUST ISNT READY..

well it's not like he's competing with peyton manning. he's a true frosh competing with a true soph that didn't perform at a high level

Just like all kids, you have to allow them the flexibility to fail on their own.....and in this case, give them an opportunity to fail on their own before you build them back up.

Harris had one opportunity to shine and it was against a fairly stout Auburn squad. Jennings has had multiple opportunities to shine, yet he's still abysmal.

Miles decides who's competing. That's what sucks.
