personally I think A&M drops another one between now and then, probably Ole Miss, and JFF will have checked out by the time the LSU game rolls around.

Bama should be another great game, both teams need to shore up pass defense by then however.

A&M has a legitimate shot to hang 40-50 on us. Bama's D is better than ours. Not saying I like them better than ours, but there it is.

We need to establish a lead and control the clock to keep Aggie O on the sideline where they can do no damage.

Anyone that thinks we can house Bama and A&M is bogarting the Kool Aid.

pretty much agree with this. Not sure HOW MUCH Bama's D is better, but as it stands now it is.

The question is better in what way? Their D weakness appears to be in the backfield.

IF we can prevent the big plays through the air that Bama suffered, LSU's D would look far and away better than Bamas vs. JFF. Have to do that while playing those large WR's 1-on-1 however to stop the running attack (not just JFF, remember how well they ran on LSU in the first half last year).

I saw weaknesses in both those teams. LSU defense is way better than both those teams. Mettenberger going to have a field day like he did last night. TAMU/Bama both gave up over 40. LSU going to kick all that arse.

May be a overly optimistic. We've played two pretty bad teams and one average team. All three had some success moving the ball. The last two couldn't cover an infant with a blanket.

Both the aTm and Bama offenses will light up the defense we are fielding right now.

No, they will not. You'll see.

We won't get to play either of those teams, any more than they'll get to play last night's LSU team. Like one of the posters puts on here: Get Better.

just a side point here...

A&M's defense was not exposed. We all knew it sucked way before this game.

Ha! you know that actually is an argument within my own head (don't think I'm alone here), not just on the rant.

basically, lets see how we do against a good offense. I think TCU can't be classified as a good offense from what we've seen. O's will be getting better that we face, D is improving for LSU. Let's see who wins the race.

My money is on Chavis. But make no mistake we won't shut down the Dawgs, Gumps, and especially TAMU. We may beat them, but we won't be holding either of them under 320 total yards. Be a good game if we hold any of those 3 under 500 in all reality. Pretty damn good offenses.

UF cannot score. Their O is abysmal.

No question the offense has been fun to watch, but the defense is spotty and better teams are coming on the schedule.

The test of the offense is going to come when Met
get blitzed. He sitll has some problems sensing the rush. OL done good job protecting him and the blind side so far but stiffer competiton is coming, if Met maintains composure and no interceptions and keeps level of accuracy we gonna be scary bad, if not well you know the answer to that.

I hope you are right . We have given up a lot on defense to some average teams . Alabama and A&M have much better offenses . Oh , and so does Georgia. I do believe that we can beat all three . We just have to get better , which we will

Florida has a great defense. Probably best in SEC, if not entire country.

Might ought to wait until we get in/out of Athens before we start counting chickens. If we can take away Gurley and force Murray to beat us in the air, we've got a decent shot at beating the Dawgs. Then, and only then, can we start feeling better about beating Bama. We STILL have to many penalties, too. Clean that up and find a way to keep Gurley under 100 and we'll be ready for the rest of the season. Otherwise, we could easily be 10-2 or even 9-3.
