I'm sorry but did anyone see the LSU-Kentucky SEC Tourney game by chance? IN NEW ORLEANS it was 95% Kentucky fans, 5% LSU fans. I think the support was never there even if LSU won 20 games.

PG: Hickey
G: Stringer
G: Turner
F: JOB
F: Hamilton

If he gets Hammink & Coleman along with Morgan, he would probably run a 3 guard offense. Hell, Turner is a G and not a SF.

Hammink, Coleman and Morgan will be subs for Stringer and Turner.
Stringer will probably be the backup to Hickey unless one of the 3 coming in can prove they can run the point.
Courtney needs to add some weight to be a relief for JOB and Hamilton.
Ludwig will help give the post players a breather as well.
TJ played Isaac a lot so he will be in the mix somewhere as well.

We really need to add another bigger body to sub JOB and Hamilton, IMO. Pelle could be a coup if he qualifies and signs.

im hoping coleman or morgan is good enough to start and put stringer on the bench. he'll have to be the guy to spell hickey apparently. coleman's ability to get to the rim is needed.

This. We don't have that in anyone right now.

I'd like for that to be vice versa.

Galloway at St Joseph's is the only one he didn't get prior to this season who is doing well.

Markel Brown and Brian Williams are doing alright at Oklahoma State, but not setting the world on fire.

Gathers appears to be a blow, but this kid, IMO, wanted to leave the state.

Morgan is a better player than Ricardo.

What about the guys that were at LSU that left. Matt D who was a Guard. I am forgetting some others. Also, if they are not in LA, then he needs to go elsewhere. Name me players that TJ recruited that were drafted in the NBA? I can't think of one.

He was a forward and a 4* in the state that year.

Lopez brothers from Stanford. Snyder, McGee, Sessions and Fezekas from Nevada.

I think they ought to put them in the Parker Ag Coliseum. When they start winning, then they can go back to PMAC.

JOB eventually and will Hamilton count in 2013 since he convinced him to transfer here?

I guess that is my point. Two guys in what, five years, not very good. I don't expect us to be kentucky, but we need to start getting guys here. Can't win long term without talent.

He went to much to other extreme after Brady killed the APR. He should have brought in a couple of JUCOs to help the transition after the SECT year.

Thornton was a stud and is probably LSU's best player in the NBA right now. Hopefully we get Coleman.

if they win a few OOC games to start the season, people will have hope.

if they struggle early against the Coastal Carolinas and NW State
then yes, all time low will set in.

Weren't we in a pretty dire APR situation. Maybe I am wrong, but I thought if we lost one player to attrition it would trigger some pretty significant penalties.

Consistent winners will turn fans out, not coaching changes
depends on who the coach is. trent just isnt a very exciting guy so yea he needs to win and win big with exciting players to get fan support.

you get a young coach that connects with the fans and has a personality and people might get excited with improvement being shown. trent being a dead fish in the personality department does him no favors on top of his lack of getting enough talent to win and his lack of coaching skill the last few years.

Brady alienated the fans. Trent has been overly complimentary of the fans. I would not have attended games solely because Brady was such a bitch at times.

brady did alienate the fans at the end but i haven't seen trent drum up any support at all.

when you are the coach of a program that needs support you need to be doing everything you can to get out and get the fans excited along with pulling in talent.

hickey, hamilton and job 3 are a start on talent but we need more.

Hard to predict, given the limited numbers and fickleness of the LSU basketball fanbase. By any reasonable measure, this year's team was substantially improved, and showed every promise of continued improvement over the next couple of years. Yet fan support was pitiful. The team's effort in New Orleans was certainly much greater than the boycotting fanbase deserved.

No reasonable person can expect our program to be competitive when recruits compare the Dead Dome to venues with actual basketball fans. But I guess that's why they're called Rantards.

yea except currently if ham or job III get in foul trouble or god forbid they get hurt our season is in the tank. we have zero post players returning besides them that can handle playing right now. We can fix that in recruiting but that isn't a sure thing with trent.

team has a very dangerous potential starting line up but very little depth currently.

also if the school and trent did a better job selling bball maybe more people would show up.
