Wow. You must be jefferson mama.

I said couldn't or didn't.

Couldn't implies he was under tremendous pressure. I watched the coaches film. He missed receivers open. But I'm not acting like lee would have done better.

Jefferson mama from now on

How do you let Lee (a senior who won us 8 games and led us to #1 ranking) sit on the bench the entire game?

I heard some info from a former player about a year after that game that LSU was not sure if Lee was going to be declared ineligible due to grades or not and thus if he played forfeit the game. The rumor/info fit the mold but was far fetched.

I more believe these days that Miles kept thinking his game plan was going to come through in the end. When it was all said and done the game plan was not that bad - JJ just played very poorly. Receivers were open and he did not hit them and that bottled up the run game.

Apparently, this will be the NEW bullshite mythos.

At halftime of the BCSCG, Jefferson had completed 85.71% of his passes.

At the end of the third quarter of the BCSCG, Jefferson had completed 76.92% of his passes.

and he ruined the best year of LSU football.

Les didn't block, run routes, miss tackles, get no pressure, get turnovers, run nor throw the ball.

Idiot.

And yes I wanted a change in 2nd half at QB.

The truth is something like that, but not exactly that.

Completely agree. If we were truly that good, we should have beaten them again like we did to Georgia in 03. Les was waiting for that spark to happen like it did against Arkie and Georgia. Just never happened.

You've lived a sheltered life if the worst day of it is due to a game lost by a bunch of 18-21 year old kids.

This was the whole reason why Miles didn't throw Jefferson away after the fight. He knew that Jefferson was the guy to beat Bama. And he did.

Unfortunately, due to a flawed system, he was asked to do it again. He couldn't.

"Well, I tend to think that a lot of LSU fans DO NOT want to believe our game plan could have been that bad...and thus something awful was going on in the locker room."

I think you've nailed it. The simple truth is too hard for many Tiger fans to accept. The staff failed to prepare the team to play and coached poorly in the game by failing to make adjustments or insert a QB who had a number of off-the-bench wins to his credit. You don't need a conspiracy to have poor performance.

I think lee may have played decent if we went straight up no huddle. He was awesome under 2 minutes

I thought that LSU debunked that rumor already.

Unless Lee decides to write a tell all book about his years at LSU, we will never know the whole story. He's been asked about it on multiple occasions and he's always been nothing less than a total class act about it, refusing to say anything negative about LSU or Miles. He got a raw deal but he never once whined about it. The same can't be said about Jordan Jefferson.

does that necessarily mean he made the right read and threw to the correct receivers? He completed 11 passes for 53 yards. Averaging less than 5 yards per completion is not impressive. He completed one pass over 8 yards the entire game. Simply citing a completion percentage does not refute an argument that Jefferson was unable to hit open receivers.

Or it actually did happen. From the mouths of multiple players on the team. As well as people in the administration.

People do bring real information to the board occasionally only to get down voted and ridiculed.

Sometimes this board is like a soup kitchen, people begging for food (info) like they are starving. Except they then throw that food back in the servers face bc they want something better.

It means blowing an opportunity to be great when it is there. That is the difference between being a great coach and being average with great talent, adjusting to the situation matters. Leslie does not do it because he is too stubborn. It was an epic failure.
