Desperate times call for desperate measures.
I guess you don't recall the situation wasn't really desperate until after late JJ led drive into FG range that was ruined by penalty and score wasn't out of hand until the late Gump TD.

As mentioned earlier hardly any offensive concept works without some control of LOS.
From what I saw, the game would have been out of hand in 1st half with the desperation move of inserting an immobile QB.
Everyone sees what they want to, though.

That would be the Miami Ohio game in 1

Miami Ohio had been playing 1-A football like 15 yrs and that team which beat us was a conference champion.

UAB was playing 1-AA football 4 yrs before they beat us and the team that beat us was mediocre in their conference.

The 2001 LSU team won the SEC and 2000 team was nationally ranked. I'm not going to buy into the 86 team being a lot different in talent than the 2000 team. Maybe more seasoned talent, but they both were talented.

Again, each to our own, but I go with the 2000 L to UAB.

The 1986 team had just come off a 35-17 beatdown of a top ten A & M team... That team was way more talented than the 2000 team... Hodson at QB,Williams at RB Davis at WR, A great O-line... Some verygood players on D as well... Now if the 2001 team had lost to A UAB,Then I would agree with you more.... That 2000 team was just in the beginning of a trasition rom being 3-9 to the way Saban wanted things done... They had some talent....

The "most humiliating performance in LSU history" goes to our UAB loss in TS. imo
That was, without a doubt, the very most miserable game I ever witnessed

Yeah, I forgot about that one, you right

God lord.
You're basically insinuating JJ kept LSU in the game then.
Boy you aren't lying when you say People see what they want huh?

I've been banned one time on TD...and it was because of 1/9/12.

for the 100th time it is how we lost that has most people still up in arms. Any other HC would have cleared the bench trying to win

CLM -stuck with his game plan all the way to the end

Let's hope the man learned something from that loss

Pretty much. It was fairly evident on 11-5.
There weren't any realistic better options for trying to win with the OL play.

If the staff would've inserted JL or Mett and it cost a pick-6 or 2, you'd be bitching about JL's miserable career record vs UA, or Mett inexperience and, what were they thinking, embarrassing 35-0, blah, blah, blah.
You idiots have all the answers after the whistle blows.

Let's see Jefferson actually won against Bama and Lee was horrible when playing the tide. Personally when the second half started I wanted to see Mett out there.

It wasn't the QB it was the game plan. Bottom line.

Live in the hypothetical world I see.

He struggled vs Alabama at times in the past. Gotta be a worse case scenario than this dude who is sucking arse in real time. Really?

People like you are the worst.
21-0 35-0 what's the fricking difference? To not even attempt to change is cowardly.
Got away with his crap play game before vs uga.
Alabama not so much.
