but apparently if you question anything the coaching staff does you become toxic.
it's not the questioning, it's the basis of the question. Coaches clearly make mistakes, but if your frame of reference for questioning is ineptitude, negligence, pet players, bbq, etc. then you are going to be called out on it. In addition, if virtually every comment you make is a bitch about the coaching staff, you're going to be labeled "toxic".
Some on here literally look for stuff to bitch about and don't consider the possible reasoning the coach might have had in making a decision. One can clearly make the wrong choice for the right reasons. It's perfectly ok to say "I can see why he did that, even though I would have done it differently". Saturday night Miles might have thought..."we need to shut this down right now so that our QB doesn't get killed, I don't need to see anything else to know what we need to work on in practice next week."

Didn't read the thread, but did you see all those guys running off the field after losing their helmet this weekend? Those coaches don't have a clue.

I'd rather see LSU pound the ball and wear out the defense than a lot of passing. Like the fact LSU has a serious pass threat this year to make the run game even better (hopefully).

Everyone has a preference.

Jesus some of the people in here are the true reason that the name "rantard" exist's...
Do I know the game as well as Miles or other coaches on the staff, no but I've played, seen, and coached enough football to know what the hell I'm talking about. Also seen enough of Miles offense over the last 4 years to know that he doesn't have a great desire to throw vertical, yes I know who the QB's were, but you simply can't be that stubborn forever. I gave an example of a maxprotect design that would have kept Mett away from the big hits. If racking up 300 yards rushing against a team that doesn't include 1 player that LSU even recruited gets your dick hard then be my guess, jerk off all day, but it doesn't change the fact that we need to develope a vertical attack. SEC defenses will take away certain things because they have the talent to do so and I'd hate to see us still working on it against S Car, Bama, or any other SEC school. I don't ever think LSU will look like Tx Tech with Leach or anything even close to it but having a vertical passing game isn't a bad thing and will help you win games.. I'm thrilled that we can dominate NT on the ground and complete a lot of high % throws to the sideline, I really am, and I'll take a win anyday but just as all of you are entitled to think that we run the perfect offense and Miles should be considered a guru I'm enititled to my opinion of needing to work on the vertical game.
Oh and to the poster who insulted my HS coaching experience, you make me laugh because the second I got the job it made me lightyears ahead of you in football knowledge. As far as that goes, HS coaches just don't make much money when you have a family to support... But I'm sure that you donating your time to the local brec league has you up to speed on all that is football.

Mett three several downfield passes. People are acting like the LSU offense philosophy was going to simply change overnight. I think they threw downfield about as many times as you will see in a game that is under control.
That is where you are wrong with your under control stuff. I like when we used to talk about domination!!!! The bubbles and swings (8-12-seemed like 30) suck. They work sometimes to make a short FD or when the personel says to make that play. They were jumping our bubble screens and to tell you I wanted them to INT it so Miles could stop it. Is that not the pass offense we stunk up in the MNC on Jan 9th? yes it is
Mett needs solid practice reps, not 12-15 bubbles screens
For those who cannot see that

You have so much football knowledge that you invented the term sideways offense.

Unfortunately LSU ran it I just called it what it is... Hopefully it's not the 1st time you've heard the expression.

Besides bama and the first half against UGA how did that work out for SEC defenses last year?
Don't complain about the passing attack after one game....at least wait to see how it is after Towson.

I don't remember seeing a single swing pass in the game. Maybe I missed them all.

You probably missed all those zone reads as well that a couple of others were bitching about

Whats really positive about the side to side offense is that we actually had about 1200 total yds Saturday.

If you think there was disappointment after UNT, wait til after Towson...
I guarantee you the score predictions will be 60 something to 3 and expectations will not be met.

Nah, I want to see the play where we line up with 2 QB's at the same time. I know that Mett and Rivers aren't much of runners, but if the play involves throwing it should be a better time to pull it out this year.
