I'm extremely confused by our lack of creativity on offense regarding QB play from Saturday. Before all the BS cliche' comments about it being the 1st game, hurricane, and North Tx and not wanting to show the playbook people need to realize that we have a first year starter at QB and he needs work. I've been saying this to idiots that don't understand football and they just don't get it but this sideline passing shite is going to be a problem. If we can't stretch the field against North Tx, I DON'T CARE IF WE WERE HOLDING BACK, then were not going to be able to do it when it matters just like last year. I understand that JJ and Lee are gone and that Mett is a much better QB prospect then either of them but it pains me to see us not try to work on his/LSU's passing game more against this type of team. We need game speed practice on it and I just can't wrap my head around it that we refuse to work on it with these powder puff type teams.

I'm not a negatiger just curious as to why we refuse to stretch the field, I've gotten to watch a few practices and that sideways offense is what they are doing there as well.... Thoughts?

Because that's what our HC wants to do and until we lose multiple games, it's not going to change.

You're confused as to why we weren't more creative with a new QB vs. North Texas? I think that says more about than the team/coaching

Mett three several downfield passes. People are acting like the LSU offense philosophy was going to simply change overnight.

I think they threw downfield about as many times as you will see in a game that is under control.

I think they were just holding back the offense.

North Texas corners were giving a 3rd and Chavis style cushion...they were playing to keep everything in front of them.

Oh, and 500+ yards of offense...u mad?

So you do understand football? Go back and watch the game and see how many of those vertical passes on first down picked up 6 or 7 yards or are you one of those guys who think we need to score on every play. As for me, I'll take 2nd and 3.

Whether you admit it or not, i think everyone thinks Alabama would whip our arse if we played this Saturday.

But, it's a good thing we don't play until November. The team has plenty of time to grow and improve.
