it honestly had a big impact on the game. I still think LSU wins but not as big

It was the field because of the rain & game played on it like 2 days earlier. Being there, I can easily say it is the worst field.conditions I've ever seen by FAR. Completed nullified our speedsters like Trindon who couldn't cut without a chunk of the field coming up

You must hear things differently. I think he said against LSU in the rain we bottled him up. I know for a fact he didn't say LSU won because it was raining.

LSU beat A&M for several reasons.

First...our offense was able to run the ball at will and we kept the ball out of his hands. That had nothing to do with the rain.

Second, or edge rushers did not over pursue, and that forced Manziel to try and be a drop back passer...which he is not. That had nothing to do with the rain.

Third...Manziel DOES NOT have an NFL arm. He absolutely COULD NOT throw a pass against the wind while going into the north. When you look at the TOP for that game, most of his time with the ball was spent heading north. Mett, on the other hand, seemed to have no issues throwing into the wind.

And there's also that sticky thing about it not raining much at all past the first quarter... Cold and windy? Yeah. Rain? Nope.

payback for LSU fans blaming the rain for losing to Penn St

To be fair, more specifically, we more blamed the field for that one.

If the rain was a huge factor, perhaps A&M should have ran the ball more than six times? Not the weather's fault that Sumlin is a stubborn coach.

to be fair, that field was not playable. (eta--just saw tittle's post, but that field did suck--sort of made it a toss up regardless of talent)

This. The field may have been wet from the rain prior to the game, but there really wasn't much more than a light mist during the game itself.

It wasn't even raining for most of the game . Maybe he didn't get to warm up properly because it was wet . That's trash

It wasn't the rain, it was the abortion of a field.

That was unfair to all those players to play on the field. Can't believe there weren't bad injuries that day.

And penn st had to play in the conditions too. it slowed the game and speed down which lsu had the advantage in.

To me when excuses like rain and field conditions are what they are excuses.

When the environment throws you a curve ball. Deal with it. The team with the most grit and will wins.

There's always good weather in the NFL. Manziel should have no issues going forward.

Maybe they should blame Manziel for missing open players and trying to throw bombs on every play. He clearly was injured in the game against us and the game against Mizzou.
