Really good call. Manning was really good, just not a "dynamic" player.

Scottie is good, Simmons appears to have a thicker lower body build in the making. Scottie known for D a lot, Simmons has that D potential?

He certainly has the potential. He has around a 7'0 wingspan and pretty good lateral quickness. All he needs is the effort and a little better mechanics.

Boris Diaw. Simmons has much better athleticism than him though. Probably a better passer as well.

Detlef Schremffffff.

I'm just worried that Simmons doesn't like to be bodied. Seems really finesse to me.

I do t see the Manning comparison. Manning was a wonderful player in college and before all the injuries but I don't recall him having anywhere near the handle. Not sure about shooting but Manning appeared better at scoring down low, more of 4 to Simmons' 3.

In general, the tough thing about comparing Simmons is that the guys with similar body types and athleticism don't much share his game, with a crazy good handle and pass first mentality. For example, Simmons and Durant share some physical attributes but Have different approaches.

Penny Hardaway was an interesting one I had somewhat forgotten.

You forget what lebron looked like coming out of highschool? I think Simmons is a little bigger at this point. I can't wait to see what Simmons looks like after he meets NBA trainers....no homo

I've had extensive arguments with The Sexecutioner about this. Clown thinks Simmons compares to Blake griffin

Can everyone tell him how wrong he is??

Simmons is Magic/Odom/Lebron/Webber/Pippen

Im not a huge fan of the Lamar Odom comparison personally. I realize they are both lefty PF's that could handle the ball and pass which makes it fair to compare the two, but Simmons plays way more above the rim than Lamar Odom in college. I also feel like Simmons has much better court vision than Lamar. But hey, that's just my opinion.

He is good, but LSU fans do this all the time. The team will lose a game and fans will melt.

I see a lot of prime Lamar Odom. Maybe pre-injury Grant Hill.
