What does him signing with an agent keep him from doing?

It seems like the people that are upset about this think he can't be on the sideline or hang out with the team at all. The only thing he can't do is practice and play. Which he wouldn't be doing anyways.

So what exactly is the problem with him signing with an agent?

Coaches make bank when they get to a bowl.
Coaches get a month to work on stuff with their teams
Coaches call plays differently in bowl games.
Salary structure for NFL is huge with the picks position 20MM at a minimum if he is healthy
media is hypocritical wanted him to sit and now bitching about him healing.
Oh frick you Mark Richt you quitter bitch. Where was your sorry arse when you got beat as OC in Natoonal Championship game? Your mind was in UGA already. frick all those sorry SOB bitching coaches and media types.

I find the argument a waste of time on either side. LF gives no shits what we think and I don't give any shits what he thinks.
He played well as a Tiger, and I enjoyed watching it. Now that he is a pro, IDGAF what he does. You guys shouldn't either.

I was laughing at the notion of LF7 sitting out his jr. season so he wouldn't get hurt and screw up his chance at a big pay day at the draft. I'm laughing at him now cause he's already signed with an agent and doesn't want to play in a bowl game with his brothers cause he's been hurt since this summer, maybe spring.

I wonder, how many of the other juniors and seniors have signed with an agent.

He should have waited until after the bowl game IMHO.

He don't owe me a thing? That works two ways.

I like how u roll CharlesLSU. It's laughable how some of the idiots on the LSU and SEC rant sound like a tough guy behind a keyboard. If u type it u better be able to back it up in person. Every so called LSU fan who has banged on Coach O about where he is from and his accent can GTFO. My money is on Coach O that he can kick all their asses with without breaking a sweat. It's going to be funny to watch these idiots when Coach O starts piling up the W's eat crow. Get your popcorn ready!!

He would still be part of the team. IMHO, he no longer is since he has forfeited his amateur status.

His ex-teammates may say he still is but, he is a pro now looking for a team.

I'm hoping he'll fine a way on to the sideline, I'm sure he can scrape a few $$$ together. I mean, that's what this is about, $$$, am I right.

He's still "part of the team" in everyone's eyes that matter.

Which will be easy enough to do.

Of course it is, and I'm sure his agent will front him plenty so that he can go to the game, be with his team and provide his daughter the best Christmas she's ever had.

Well, in this situation, that's all that matters.

So, signing with an agent really didn't change anything. Except put some money in his pocket that might have been needed.

meh

However, some NFL types might view it in the mold of Clowney. Whats to stop LF from determining which plays, or games, in the NFL demand his full participation

No doubt.

For a small nominal few I'm sure.

Cant say for sure, know one can save maybe him.

Sure it did IMHO but, like I said, he don't owe me anything, just his little girl(in his own words)and I cant blame the man for try'n to do right by her.

speak for yourself. A lot of, probably most, LSU fans like following ex LSU tiger players pro careers and they certainly GAF even if you don't "GAF". You seem angry for some reason.

Everyone will have their own takes.

I am glad LF7 is sitting out. At this point his best asset to LSU is to secure himself as a top 10 pick in the NFL draft and to go on and have a successful NFL career. Our NFL pipeline is one of the best recruiting tools we have.

LSU will be better off giving all the RB reps to 2017 LSU Tigers. LSU did something similar in the 2002 Cotton Bowl. We played a lot of younger players and Nick wanted to showcase the future. These reps matter alot for personal growth and while Guice may not need them plenty behind him on the stable probably do.

I think it is great for both parties. LF7 has all the tape the NFL needs on him already. He could only hurt his draft stock at this point through injury.

I want LF7 to play and if he wasn't hurt, I would expect him to, but if you have been fighting an injury all season that's probably a good call. It doesn't help with the pumped new LSU team, and it doesn't help that LF7 fans don't get to see him with a 300 yard day, but it is what it is a nagging injury.
