Moronic post. Too much moron for me to even attempt to address.

And this, ladies and gents, has always been my point. For some LSU fans, there has never been anything the guy can do to win them over... To suggest all he'd have need to do was such and such is and always has been horseshite to a large portion of our fanbase. In the end, the guy wasn't Saban and therefore not the right guy.
Knowing that is really an issue, because when there are legitimate gripes about the program and the man running it, it's far too easy to ignore them as part of the maniacal tirades of jackasses like this who disliked the guy before he stepped foot on the filed in purple and gold.
It's why having a legit conversation about the state of the program is almost impossible...because the well has been poisoned by some since January of 2005.

Nail on the head. Some "fans" would rather be blithering idiots festering in a pile of hate than take time to enjoy our success.

"Harder to win a NC now with the playoffs. Just ask Bama."
Actually, it's easier, just ask Ohio State
The truth is it's exactly as easy as it used to be - same number of teams and the same number of national championships.

Of all of the coaches that Bertman could have hire he picked a guy that was 2 weeks from being fired.
Wow 2 weeks from being fired eh?

and he also lost the SEC championship in his first season
Hey dumb-arse, he had to pull the team through a hurricane in his very first season, 11 straight games without a break, a big non-conference game on the road that was supposed to be at home, the players having family shacked up with them on campus and most losing weight because of all the stress.
But, no credit given for even playing in the SEC championship? After all they had to go through to get there. You just remember they lost. A guy two weeks from getting fired from OSU comes to the SEC and plays for the championship his first year? I'm glad you hate Miles and are miserable that he is the LSU coach. That alone makes me hope he is the LSU coach for the next 20 to 30 years.
I hope he pulls a Joe Paterno and you remain miserable and bitter. And I hope you are very disappointed on a lot of Saturdays this coming season.
I do visualize a lot of LSU fans pouting after every LSU win. Back when I was a member of Tigerbait, the busiest that board ever got was after a LSU loss. Members you never even heard of or would see any other time would come and revel in the LSU/Miles loss.

2005 was one of the greatest coaching jobs by anyone ever....anywhere. Miles record speaks for itself.

So you consider Mack Brown a legendary coach, but not Bob Stoops (Miles was the first HC to beat Stoops twice, baw)?

IMO this will be CLM's defining year
I think this year and next year will be very important for Les. Its easy to get excited about the current recruiting class and recruiting has not been an issue here with or without Steele and Orgeron. If you read between the lines with the last DC/DL hires - Alleva has basically given Miles two years to turn it around. He (Alleva) would not allow Les to offer anybody more than a two year contract. The result is Les had to settle with lower tier hires. Hopefully Les can put things all together this next couple of years.

Wow!! Didn't realize Orgeron was a "lower tier" hire. Thanks for enlightening me.

ZERO chance les was 2 weeks away from being fired at OK St. They were crap before he took over.

he has his faults but be realistic.
Only wish he would play to curbstomp opponents instead of playing scared/keeping it close. Will never understand his lack of adaptability and not always using his weapons to their full potential.
He has a great chance this year to show the full power of LSU football, with so many talented players at his disposal.

Meh. B grade or better QB play will have us at 9 or 10 wins. I'm curious to see this year as a setup year for 2016. The talent level is rising on the team. My questions are:
1. QB (obviously)
2. Kevin Steele (his defense works or it doesn't - by October, we'll know)
3. Orgeron (His reputation is for recruiting and motivation, but he has also coached DL in the NFL).
I have expectations that OL play will be better - we saw some improvements over the course of last season. Depth always a question there, but I feel good about it.
We have more talent that we can put on the field at all skill positions, except QB. If both lines play a grade (heck half a grade) better than last year, and we get mid-pack SEC level QB play (and I said the same thing last year) - this team could win it all.
Talent is (almost) everything in college football. The challenge is that we play in the most talented division, in the most talented conference, in the most talented region of the country. Big fish in a big pond syndrome - there can be only 1 division, conference and national champ and we want all 3 every year (so does Auburn, Bama, Florida, UGA, etc.)

Two weeks from being fired? WTH? Dude put the crack pipe down. I am friends with some pretty serious OSU alums and donors and I can assure you when he left OSU there was no one who was thinking of firing Miles.
As far as Miles and LSU and winning I will just leave this here:
Winning

I have heard that before and it has always made ZERO sense to me. 3 straight yrs. of 11 or 11+ wins, never done before in LSU history, 2 west titles in in 3 yrs., an SEC title, and a NC, but you "never" agreed with the hire.
The 3 best back to back yrs in LSU history and it wasn't good enough??? I can understand some questioning if you are in fact an LSU fan. That's bout as troll like as it can get. imo

The Georgia game for the SEC in 2011 was the one that first started me doubting Miles. If you recall how bad our offense was in that first half, no first downs, and how Miles reacted, he didn't. That whole half I was screaming for him to take Jefferson out and give Kenny Hilliard a shot at running the ball. He finally gave Hilliard a shot in the second half and he came through but he refused to take Jefferson out for even one play.
The ONLY reason we won that game was the Honey Badger, the defense and Brad Wing. And that totally hopeless first half on offense was just a preview of the National Championship game to come.
Miles showed his unique brand of stubborness in that game and his unwillingness to make any substantial adjustments during a game. His style of play requires a great team with superior athletes to work. He has been blessed with that for the most part since he has been at LSU.
