Went to Parrain's last week after the kid's graduation. The food was absolutely delicious. I did find that the small rooms made the ambiance extremely loud though. It was difficult to hear anyone that wasn't right next to you. Place was packed too though.

You guys will bitch about anything

If you took my 19 year old self to Texas de Brazil, I would have thought it was the greatest thing ever

You forget that most recruits come from humble beginnings and they aren’t eating at places like that. I’m pretty sure when everyone’s sitting there eating, the kid isn’t saying “damn, they have one of these in Houston and Atlanta, shite I’m not coming to LSU”.

Who cares if it's a chain? An all you can eat meat buffet with bacon wrapped filet, lamb chops, top cut house sirloin, variety of chicken, variety of sausage, and more meats... who does not want that?

right - why do they take them to Texas de Brazil? - the guys love it!!

leave the recruiting to the expert's boys!

Did Mike Anderson’s get better? I have never had a good experience there, but it’s been a couple years

Their website is getting even worse. I have 12 inches of vertical screen and can use 3 of it to read the article.

Mike Anderson’s is definitely good, but Parrains is better.

Judging on fried shrimp and onion rings...no

Someone from Ohio, who is probably accustomed to Red Lobster, would be blown away by any decent La. seafood restaurant.

I was eating at Parrain's one day back in 2014 and the football staff brought in a recruit for lunch. They sat next to us, and throughtout the meal many older/professional players stopped by to say hello. Pretty neat. Must have been a big recruit. No idea who it was.

agreed. And especially one that didn’t originate in Louisiana and does not serve Louisiana food.

I think one of our operatives reported Ruth's Chris manager declined to let them dine there.

I'm glad he didn't want the red carpet treatment. Sounds like he is focused and will be prepared. Big difference from the attention seeking teenager dram queens to serious football players

It certainly can’t hurt that Burrow’s dad (“a longtime defensive coordinator at Ohio University”) will now have practically free access to the mind of Dave Aranda.
