it was in response to a comment about people in Ohio only being accustomed to Red Lobster and probably being amazed by seafood restaurants in S. Louisiana. Potato, potahto.

have you ever lived in S. La? If so it seems you would know we are pretty damn good with seafood

best states for seafood

Because quite a few posters here have a very parochial attitude, which is quite common in S. Louisiana.

Well, although I was born and raised there, I no longer live there, so I have left.

I never said Louisiana wasn't, but Drusilla? Come on. And let's not act like Baton Rouge is the gold standard for Louisiana seafood. The typical fried seafood platter was the prevailing cuisine for quite a while down there.

Baton Rouge is hardly the gold standard for LA, they really good, but so are a lot of other areas in the state.

Other than crawfish, I would say that they probably are. Likely more diverse in respect of the types of seafood that they offer.

Burrow dined with coaches Friday night, May 11, at Texas de Brazil, a pricey steakhouse chain

Some of the best local restaurants in the country are close by and they take the recruits to a chain??? Hell there is a Texas de Brazil here in Richmond.

I agree with cali not being better...i would like to see more options like they both offer. I am not a fan of how either really prepare and spice their seafodd

Has a large room that LSU uses for most of these recruiting dinners. I'm sure most 18yr olds are quite impressed and couldn't care less if it's a chain or not.

yeah, I tasted seafood in both Cali and Fla and just didn't like it, of course I could just be partial to the tastes of home seafood, they've spoiled me.

Good lord this thread took a turn. You'd think this was the Food & Drink board.

Pretty sure Joe Burrow doesn't GAF about the local cuisine and is here to play ball.

LOL You're right, I was a lil down on the Burrow signing when it first happened, but looking at the kids highlights now I actually think this kid could be good at LSU. With all the talent that a LSU has it's always just taken one good QB to bring out the beast in the Tigers. This kid more than any anything is mature, doesn't have much experience, but if he just plays like he played in Ohio States spring game. Making plays and managing the offense making no mistakes or keeping them to a minimum, LSU will be really hard to beat with their defense and should challenge fricking Bama.

well naturally posters started dogging the choices of restaurants they took him to...some people just can't help being crucial of everything...even when we got the kid

Thank you!

A great article about the recruitment led to three-and-a-half pages of restaurant quibbling!

shite, I'm getting hungry!!! On a side note before Joe choosing LSU I really wasn't that jazzed up about this season, but now I can't wait for the summer camp to start and guys like Curry and the rest of the player who didn't report early to show up. Should be fun.

Running stuff from 2016 is not wide open because it is more of the same with maybe a tad more passing involved.
I picture Bebe on the phone with Slinger, frantically digging through Canada's trashcan for Cam's playbook.

The 2016 "opened up offense" looks like fool's gold on paper.
IIRC 2016 had like 20 more att with one more game than 2015, and 131 to 130 RAT advantage over 2015 with (arguably) a better QB and somewhat easier schedule.
