Throw your comparisons up to other qbs all you want...bottom line is that those qbs didn't struggle to complete 10 yard passes. This injury crap is just that....crap...just an excuse.

I was never using it as an excuse. He had one really shitty game, and that was the a&m game. No excuse. Doesn't mean I am giving up on him. The receivers did not help him out much this season, kind of similar to the 2012 LSU offense with Mett and dropped passes.

Lmao....hilarious. He was inaccurate all year on certain passes...I didn't say he didn't have some type of injury, what I said is that it's bs that people try and now use that as an excuse for his poor accuracy. Deep down you know it too. The stage was to big for BH when the huge games of November rolled around.. Just like it was at auburn in year 1...of course everyone that game blamed it on the coaches saying it wasn't his fault but they set him up to fail. Its ALWAYS someone else. Lol. The fact is until he becomes more strong-minded and improve on short passes...he will continue to be a liability on offense.

You mean like Jamarcus Russell early in career before he gained experience & added touch to his game by his redshirt junior year?

Drew Breese would look average with this JR. High offense.

That is soooo cool. You are a welcome addition to this board. I don't think that anybody else has the wit and originality that you have.
Where have you been hiding?
Please post more.

Says the guy who probably wouldn't get out of bed due to his vaginal yeast infection. So you are telling me an injury to a QBs core isn't gonna effect his mechanics? Is that what Mrs. Tigerinthehollow believes? Let's get the opinion of a real professional like Drew Brees on this matter.

quote:

"I think I got a little away from my mechanics last year as the season wore on," Brees said. "Part of it is probably attributable to the oblique injury in camp. I probably came back -- not too soon -- but wanted to come back so soon, that on the road to recovery I altered my mechanics and overcompensated and developed some bad habits."

quote:

"I had the injury in the preseason, the oblique. Then I had something during the season, too, that I was battling," said Brees, who declined to get more specific.

Brees said you "throw with your core" as a quarterback, explaining that the idea of having a "strong arm" actually has very little to do with the arm. And he said he tried to "manufacture power" after suffering the oblique injury.

"I would overcompensate in other ways and develop bad habits, which worked for a short period of time. Then, all of a sudden, other things started going downhill," Brees said. "So I was definitely in that place toward the end of last season. I wasn't throwing my best. But no excuses. Everybody's battling stuff throughout the season. But this offseason, I definitely went back to the basics with some of those things to make sure I was doing stuff the right way."

I think people are more fed up that we had to rely on a true sophomore in his first year starting. We should not be in a situation with no serviceable upperclassmen QBs.

I personally think we wouldn't be discussing a lot of this had Perilloux not been a frick head.

Saban realized it and hired Kiffin to modernize his offense. We all know too well how that turned out.

Did anyone actually watch that abomination Alabama called an offense early in this season? They obviously got better as the season progressed but in no way shape or form was it smooth sailing for them all season long. Things didn't change for them until their game against Georgia.

Ugh..... Honestly, I can't fault him for going taking the money & going play baseball but his absence did hinder the program at the QB position.

I call BS...you dont know this with any certainty...youre just feelin your oats.
Every scout said he was inaccurate in high school. I know I didn't watch film of every game, but they said that, and I saw his "arm" in off season competitions and every game at LSU. He doesn't throw the ball well. Hernia or not.

If and I say if.... Miles and Cam open up the playbook a little more he will break SOME LSU RECORDS!! And win us a NATTY!! But we need the coaches to step up not B. Harris. Jennings should not start over Harris no way shape are form! This kid is good and he will prove it to the jackass that switch back and fourth from him and Jennings

JaMarcus Russell? was the first pick in the draft. I don't think that is a valid comparison. I hope it turns out to be, but that doesn't seem like a good analogy

I don't think its a coincidence either that Bama has used 5th year seniors in back to back seasons on their way to representing the SEC in the college football playoff

A bit misleading. Although Sims and Coker were seniors, both were first year starters and neither had taken any meaningful snaps. And Sims was under a brand new OC.

Harris is smart, and smart QB's improve with time regardless of their athleticism-and we already know he has that.
