With Daniels being able to barely even walk I think you ask him to go ahead and move forward with surgery or whatever recovery process is needed. You give Nussmeier the start and find out what this kid can do. We have seen him in limited action but never as the starter going into the game. The kid looked great last week and I think with the Daniels injury he deserves it.

Then you can evaluate his play and make a decision on who is leading the pack for next season. The reality is we are most likely losing a QB. Losing Nussmeier without ever really seeing him get a real shot would be painful.

I'm not interested in all the arguments over who is better. But you have the perfect opportunity here to at least find out more about Nussmeier.

Just curious if this is how most of our fans are looking at it?

Daniels needs to go pro. Let Nuss and Walker battle it out.

Absolutely. If nothing else it keeps him on the roster at least until spring

If Daniels is hurt or declares for the draft and sits out, yea. Otherwise no, zero chance he will start

The smart thing to do is to let JD rest up for a spring ball QB competition. Start Nuss for the bowl.

So you know that wont happen.

If Nuss is the starter for the game then hopefully he will see that he can be the starter next year and will decide to stay. He made a business decision last year and I hope he makes one this year to stay

Depends on the health of our starter.

Regardless of who starts next year, I think you give Daniels the time to rest. I would love to see what Nuss can do, but for Daniels overall health, he needs to sit.

This bowl game isn’t make or break for LSU.

From what I recall, Nuss ain’t particularly fond of playing in bowl games

How hurt can he be? I saw him cutting up with the players on the side lines. No boot, crutch and walking around. Kid from USC played the whole second half on a bad wheel against Utah.

Makes no sense but, you're prolly spot on.

Is BK as stubborn as LES, or does he think the program can take a step forward next season with JD?

I think you open the QB battle up this week. I dont think Nuss is the answer, but Daniels showed his ceiling. We CAN win big games with him, we also dont have the consistency we need. I think Nuss is similar, but him playing the Citrus would be a good start to finding out.
