Melvin Oliver committed a worse crime and still played.

So it is essential to know exactly who threw the first punch?

How is this generally handled?

Generally neither gets charged because its a fricking fight that both participated in.

Battery charges usually stem from 1) someone getting jumped or 2) someone getting beat beyond reason.

Not that this matters, but I mentioned in the thread that has been removed, that yesterday I talked with someone, who heard from someone that had a friend there (I know, take it with a grain of salt). Anyway, I am talking with that guy through facebook and he told me that the "victims" threw out some racial slurs, which sparks things getting physical.

Again, this is strictly hear say, but according to this guy, the racial slurs was the tipping point.

Is there anything to suggest that the incident actually started inside? A lot of parking lot fights start that way.

That came after one of them jacked Brad Wing in the face.

Putting aside the crimes:
Why in the Hell is JJ, a senior QB and a "Team Leader," breaking curfew?
With underclassmen?
And engaging in a FOUR on ONE fight?
And, what justifies kicking a person in the head while they are on the ground?

Some fine "Team Leader" he seems to be...

Team tradition

Everyone was old enough to be in the bar

That's just false.

That actually happened? Or are you just speculating?

Thanks

If racial slurs were thrown around, it might be hard to get a conviction in Baton Rouge with a black jury pool of around 40%.

He wasn't the only senior there.
Player break curfew all the time.

Players breaking curfew on a non-game week is the least concerning news in all of this.

Wasn't four on one.

Let me ask you, if Jefferson is eventually cleared and it is determined that he wasn't "kicking" anyone, will you come here and eat crow?

To be fair, one side is all we have. I am surprised at the lack of 'informal' takes we have from the players' side. I know they cannot officially comment, but these posers had their friends spraying the internet like a cat and we have absolutely nothing from the players side.

SOP would be to pick them up and charge them. In high profile cases they may want to hera both sides. But otherwise, they would have alreday been arrested. Translates, they have probable cause now.

Directed to Antiono and others schooled in the law.

If part of the story is true and one of the non-players rushed into the brawl, could he be considered the aggressor and subject to charges?
