I do have to give them credit for one thing when it comes to the last second concession stand addition. At least it looks like they were smart enough to not have the windows facing outwards. there would be napkins blowing all over baton rouge.

Due to concerns that showing the game on the wall would lead to reduced attendance inside the stadium, LSU has decided to instead stream the TD game thread on the wall.

They are going to show classic SEC games on Friday nights before home games, like a drive in movie.

I think above all its the lack of continuity around the stadium.

Yeah I agree, makes it look strangely abstract-like.

Is this what you've actually heard? I like this idea. Get a nice projector; show the game for those outside the stadium (especially for big games) and show other games throughout the day.

Just got off the phone with Eddie Nunez. He said there's no truth to the "Oh, we had problems" or "Last minute addition" rumors.

Good enough for me. Can we let that rest already?

TIA.

I think thats worse yet. That means they intended to have those lego blocks on top from Day 1 and think its a marvelous idea.

LSU desperately needs help when planning any construction project. They fail miserably in most cases if not all.

I walked around LSU today.

Why are those ugly squares brown at the entrance facing Nicholson? Ugly!

The new expansion is sad and ugly.

Don't ever touch the north side exterior! It's the only side that gives me chills.

He spoke to this. He said he can see how some people are unhappy about it - that it didn't really fit into the design of the rest of the stadium. He said the reasoning was because they have some future plans they're playing around with for that area. He said they designed it in a way so they didn't have to reinvent the wheel with future additions/improvements.

Good grief. Do you really think the LSU PR guy would admit to this? The last second addition is fact and its pathetic that those guys went with it.

Did you ask him what they planned to do with the Great Wall of LSU?

I remember when the bricked in windows were my biggest concern, those were the good ole days.

The bricked in windows are still a concern. But getting a uniform stucco finish has come to the forefront.

Its the little touches like having all windows and same color consistent throughout that make an LSU project okay vs fugly.
