A top 3 program finishes the game with IOWA like that?

yep 13-1, 10-3 & good chance of going 8-5 this season. That's not a positive trend!!! And I don't think he has the "chest" to turn it around.

This is a down year, and Les's still may go 9-3 any football program would take that and be happy happy. LSU is look upon as an elite program for the first time in school history.

Les has made LSU a powerhouse by beating some of the best programs in cfb. Miami, Bama, Ohio State,Tennessee, Florida, Auburn, Notre Dame, VaTech, Oregon & Georgia and all these teams LSU has blown out at some point during his tenure.

Its just a down year losing so many jrs. has finally caught up with Miles, the cupboard is freaking bare on defense.. Don't look for improvement next year it will be much
simlar to this year. Jennings Jr year will be the year it all comes together. Leave Miles alone.

Don't forget we lost to alot of Ole Miss benchwarmers. Poor clock management over the years.

4th most valuable team in one of the poorest states in the country. Oh look 18% increase over the last 3 years. Yeah Miles hasnt done anything.

Alabama is #6 and only has a 4% increase in value over the last 3 years.

My answer is A.

In between B and C. He inherrited a good program. He's maintained the program just enough to get by. If you don't think he's tanking the program at the same time, just rewatch the BCSNC from January 9, 2012.

We had just won the SEC and gone 13-0 ...defeating 3 top 5 teams 2 of which away from Tiger Stadium.

We sent a boat load of Juniors to the NFL.

The program is fine... look no further than the incoming class and the class we just signed.

you people need to focus on something else that gives your joy

I think in his 9 years at LSU CLM has done all of the above. At this point in his tenure it is looking to me like he is hovering dangerously close to "c" and I hope he still has the something in him to pull out an "a" (even though that can't happen this season).

A-B
I've been around many years, seen it all. People bashed Les even after winning an NC.
This season is bad, but overall, he brought us to the glory days of LSU football.

I would say B with a lean to C. He can to do better. He needs to work harder. I think the team needs more discipline. I would like him to be less of a good karma, cute quip, grass eating, entertaining, cheerleader coach.

Where was the fire Saban talk after 2010.

Or the fact that we have like 3 ACTUAL starters return on defense.

Or that LA recruiting has been down the past year or two. (Last year most Elite programs signed only one 5 star)

Or that we still can win 10 games, despite having a grueling road schedule (UGA, Ole Miss SHOULD be ranked, Bama, TCU even if it's a down year for them[FIRE PATTERSON} Miss State isn't horrible) still play two should be top 10 teams at home in A&M and Auburn.

You people are fricking crazy.

He maintained for 2 or 3 years. It has been in decline for 3 or 4 years. He hasn't been signing the best players in the state for 2 or 3 years. That's not a good sign to me. It's ok to lose the best every 3 or 4 years, but he's been losing the best every year for 2 or 3 and it will happen again this year. He doesn't have the stroke to sign 5 stars.

He did not inherit a top 3 program. This revisionist history you rantards keep spouting is crazy.

Final CFB Rankings for LSU:

Coaches Poll:
2000 - NR
2001 - 8
2002 - NR
2003 - 1
2004 - 16

AP Poll:
2000 - 22
2001 - 7
2002 - NR
2003 - 2
2004 - 16

How the hell do you get a top 3 program from that? At best, LSU wasn't even a consistent top 20 program.

"C" isn't even remotely close to being accurate. If you want to say he maintained it, I wouldn't necessarily argue, but if you look at the success the program has had in his 9 years here, he's lifted the program beyond where Saban had it. You might not like him, but you can't deny the actual state of the program right now. There will be up years and down years, but before Miles got here we weren't talked about in the NC picture on a consistent basis.
