WAFB story gives a statement from LSU:

"The LSU community is deeply concerned about Sean and his family at this difficult time of uncertainty," LSU Chancellor Michael Martin said. "Sean is a valued member of the LSU family and our thoughts and prayers are with him. We also offer our prayers to everyone affected by this tragedy."

Prayers for them all. I hope that perhaps they are wrong regarding the fatalities.

They changed it

quote:

Sean O'Keefe (January 27, 1956–) is the CEO of EADS North America, a subsidiary of the European aerospace firm EADS.[1][2] He is also a former Administrator of NASA, leading the space agency from December 2001 to February 2005. His tenure was marked by a mix of triumph and tragedy, ranging from the tremendous success of the Mars Exploration Rovers to the Space Shuttle Columbia accident.

Dude if you have ever been to Alaska or have seen the movie The Edge. The thought of him being alive and trying to navigate the wilderness is terrifying. Frick!

Dude, rescuers area already on the scene. Its not like he's gonna be braving the wild fighting bears with Alec Baldwin.

my prayers go out to his family. He was the chancellor when I graduated, and I hate a tragedy like this has happened to a good man.

Definitely in my prayers. I had the pleasure of meeting and visiting with Chancellor O'Keefe on several occasions. He became a friend through e-mails. He has also done a great deal of good for our beloved LSU.
I hope and pray that he is okay this morning.

I was not trying to make a joke, i apologize if it came off that way.

I was merely pointing out how stupid the other guy's joke was

You need to be a little less sensitive about this, the joke wasn't that bad.

IMO, there have been no jokes. Just because the other poster referenced a movie, I don't think he was joking.
