While I truly want to believe this and hope it is so, I wonder why they would do it at Ole Miss instead of at home against Arkansas.

We thought they would "come out swinging" this past weekend but didn't. What is different about this game?

Well I can't speak for sjmabry, but my reasoning is well documented all throughout the thread.

Why didn't they respond last weekend against a 5-4 mediocre Arky team at home?

Which is exactly one of the fundamental differences between Bama and us. Bama loses and all of a sudden, they play their best football. We lose and then we lose again in embarrassing fashion.

I have mixed feelings on les (think he should be back next year fwiw), but I don't feel good at all about this game. The team had everything to play for against an Arkansas team that couldn't stop ole miss on defense (45 pts in less than 20 minutes of possession). A lot of games even broke their way. And they laid a complete egg. I think they are in a lot of trouble Saturday.

It's motherfricking Ole Miss and LSU tradition, not a Pig and a golden hipboot faux rivalry. CLM hasn't survived 11 years because his teams don't play for him. They're kids who knows what gets them motivated from one week to the next. Coincidently Ally Broussard's record that Fournette will break this weekend was set against Ole Miss.
BTW Ole Miss loss to Memphis loss to Houston. I think we could beat Houston.

Yeah I drank the Kool-Aid but it's why I like college football. It's for entertainment just like going to a movie. If we lose, WTF, not all movies have happy endings. Sometimes even John Wayne dies.

It better happen this way for his sake. If we look like the team that got whooped by Bama and Ark, even his most ardent supporters will start to bail.

I have the opposite, I think there will be an initial surge of emotion, but we lose to Ole Miss pretty bad.
