If he wins on the road at Ole Miss and beats Texas A&M with a 6-2 conference record, we'd be foolish to fire him this season.

We will win these next two games, win our Bowl game, and go into next season as one of the teams favored to win it all.

I am telling you today, while hope springs eternal, there are major issues with this program right now and we are walking into a hornet's nest in Oxford.

You know what? If you're right, and we lose say, 35-10 or some crap like that, then a change at the top would most definitely be a silver lining.

When u been following LSU for along time u have an understanding that once we lose to BAMA the team is like 70% defeated after they get their second loss thats it the team just gives up on the rest of the season i have no reason to think anything different will happen.

The road to disappointment is paved with good premonitions.

ok but you can't get rid of a 9-2 (defacto 10-2) coach

To this I would reply that we didn't have a week of chatter before the Arky game about Miles being replaced. That really is THE primary reason I started the thread. Only because I think the players are going to play hard for him after the week that he's had. And I could very well be wrong. Would NOT be the first time.

Yeah that's why Les has never lost 3 games in a row, cus the team gives up.

Good Knight, you must believe in Santa Clause and the Tooth Fairy also.
Missy is going to kick the snot out of this team Saturday.
They will score early and often...

Well judging by this and some of the other replies I've read I guess the Black Bears are some kind of fricking POWERHOUSE!!! Who knew??? I didn't realize this is one of the best teams in the nation we're going up against Saturday. Didn't know they're some kind of stout defensive front that preys on power running teams. How could I have possibly fathomed that we even have a prayer in this game?

Yep. Like I said, I could be wrong. This feeling is predicated 90% on me thinking the players will play hard and 10% on how we match up with their defense if that happens.

Now if the players don't show up and play hard... I agree, we'll get rolled. No doubt.

They were in the thick of the playoff race last saturday, had everything to play for, and lost to an average at best arkansas team. What makes you think they'll be more motivated to play Ole Miss on the road with the SEC and playoffs out of the equation?

And the preparation and effort was deplorable, without a doubt.

But for the umpteenth time in this thread, I'm basing this solely on the chatter about Miles' job security. That is just about the ONLY reason I'm thinking they'll play hard. It's not like this kind of thing has never happened before. Not that uncommon really.

Again though, if the players don't play hard, Ole Miss probably will put a number on us.

DAMN!!! I'm feeling like a broken record here.

I think the people leaking the info may have tied their own hands. You can create a problem you didn't want to have. Now you may have to pony up one way or the other. I've said this before and I'll say it again, the money is not unlimited as some people think.

LST me bow down to you. You have also said hundreds of stupid things on this board but its funny you don't pat yourself on the back for all that bs you were wrong on. You are the perfect example of the "look at me" kind of kid. No one gives a shite that you "predicted" those losses. The bottom line is peej picked LSU to win both games. End of discussion.
