LSU will never make you happy. I suggest that you accept this and begin a new life with a new team.

Well, that makes it easy.
Every program is in "decline".

Decline isn't failure. LSU had a great run of being elite, but everything comes to an end.

Les has a chance to get the train on track, but a lot hinges on the next recruiting class.

The discussion here was about "decline".
You agree we are consistent.
Thusly, there is no "decline".

i don't. I've laid out why i think we're headed the wrong way.

fwiw, i don't think firing anyone is the answer. I don't know what the answer is.

The rest of the season, and next year is more important to any decline. Les may can fix this, but I have serious doubts he will this season.

Like every year, people will be hyped by signing day next year.

I also want to mention this to you as well: LSU will never make you happy, and this is 100% your doing. LSU mostly always makes me happy because I've got my mind in a place where a fan's mind is supposed to be. I suggest you start anew with a new team. Good luck to you and them.

I agree with everything you have posted here. And while LSU is still bringing in very good recruiting classes, those are ranking in the 6-10 range instead of consistently top 5. This year Louisiana has elite talent and it looks like LSU is going to lose some of their top targets to Alabama. This trend seems to be getting worse. I don't think the sky is falling but the trend has been going in a negative direction. And next year, everything hinges on the D making a big leap because the skill guys on offense will all be gone.

You may "think" we are "headed" the wrong way, but the last decade plus has not shown that to be true.
10-11 win seasons have been extremely commonplace and have raised expectations.

if you compare to best of the best like alabama, ohio state, oregon we are in decline but yeah if you're comparing to mediocre teams like o miss, auburn, tenn etc we are not in decline.

but we're paying top dollars to our coaches like alabama, ohio state but getting results like coaches who getting paid at o miss auburn etc
