You want me to do the math on a "what IF"?

I'll wait and see, thanks.
The game is played for a reason.

Watch , I can do it too, CHIEF.
We finish with 11 wins, consequently becoming a team on the RISE!

NOBODY CARES ABOUT THE LAST DECADE. What we did in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009 has anything to do with what's going on right now, We are where we are right now. I hope our current staff can fix the issues.

Yes and we will continue to reap great talent from Florida, Alabama and elsewhere. I guess using that logic FSU and Alabama are in decline as well.

if you only had a clue pal. keep accepting second fiddle for the $$$ being paid to this coach to win titles.

I don't play for LSU. I neither win nor lose nor pay the coach's salary.

And neither do you, but you pretend that you do, and it makes you unhappy. You're playing make-believe, and it's making you miserable. I hope you stop being a crazy person and just be a fan. Count the good times first, then count the wins.

So you believe LSU is in decline based on what has not happened yet, but you think will happen in the future?

So you are saying we are going to be in decline at some point and when that happens , you will be able to prove it with more than "I think" and "if"?

break down the rest of the games this season and 2014 using what you've seen this year and in RECENT history and convince me that we will win out this year and get better next year.

Yes! Nobody cares about the last decade of LSU football--it's time to think about Alabama football NOW!

well LSU always plays Bama hard and tough. That game is a toss up, IMO

we get A&M at home, and A&M defense might be the worst in the country. Auburn just beat them at home. LSU handled Auburn easily. I say LSU beat A&M

next year? frick if I know. I need to see Jennings play first. He could be the next Jameis Winston for all we know.

We are not in a decline yet...however if we lose to Bama and A&M and lose out on LF and others...the decline will begin.

Fat Bastard, that three things post sums it up.
Miles has got to go. We are paying a coach 4.6 million (he got that $500,000 pay raise last year with antics that I abhor. Remember this fricking bullshite.

quote:

Alleva acknowledged that the speculation expedited matters on the contract front between the university and the coach.

“Our intent was to address his contract following this year’s bowl game, but speculation about other job opportunities accelerated our process a little,” Alleva said. “I think we have accomplished the important step of securing Les Miles as our head coach for the long-term good of the program.”

Miles did acknowledge in a subsequent press conference that he did engage in very preliminary discussions with UA, saying that he is very good friends with that school’s athletic director, Jeff Long. The coach declined to say which side initiated the conversations.

Miles did deny, though, that there was a five-year, $27.5 million offer on the table from Arkansas.

Alleva's response to the situation is why he has to go as well.

We've beaten Bama enough recently to expect this game to be no different. We certainly have proven that we matchup very well with Bama over the last few years.
A&Ms defense is horrid. We can win a shoot out. Not out of the question.

2014 will be a young team breaking in a new QB, but lots of teams will be faced with that challenge.
Graduation and the NFL draft make this a reality in college athletics. Not evidence of a decline in any way.

How will your wallet be affected if there's a coaching change? I love this "we" stuff.

Dude Florida is in huge decline from Urban to Muschamp !!

Bama has won 3/4 NC to help their recruiting
FSU has an offensive guru at head coach and is recruiting just fine.

P.S. you're an idiot

Alleva's not interested in winning championships.

Alleva's interested in making the department money and as long as Miles is here we will almost always be in the top 25 which will make us money.

But we will never win championships. And that is why Alleva has to go.

Arkansas and a $27.5 million deal?
Please - imagine Miles trying to build a program like Arkansas back up..........
That honeymoon would last less than 2 years.

The decline will really pick up steam if we miss out on Leonard cam speedy and hootie. At that point it will be official.

The fence will be down and a nation championship nucleus would have left the state for our conference rival. Would take several years to recover

Reality of the decline

Is way overblown.

Miles' record at LSU:

2005: 11-2 84.6%
2006: 11-2 84.6%
2007: 12-2 85.7%
2008: 8-5 61.5%
2009: 9-4 69.2%
2010: 11-2 84.5%
2011: 13-1 92.9%
2012: 10-3 76.9%

Total: 85-21 80.2%

People that want to get rid of this guy right now are morons. Probably the same people that wanted him gone in 2008 and 2009.
