re: Last Night Was a "Fun" Game - prplngldtigr
More high fives last night than we've had in a long time. Executed in every phase of the game and it was "fun" for 40 minutes. That long drive was gonna end in points and the drive itself was a statement about this new teams capabilities. ...

re: New uniforms? - prplngldtigr
Didn't care for these unis , although I really like the "sailer mike" logo and the old school "L". I will never understand the love for plain helmets with just a number. Especially since LSU has the absolute best helmet logo and design in football. Purple jerseys are my #1 LSU uniform. ...

re: What are specifically "black issues"? - prplngldtigr
I can see your hypothetical platform offering some real ideas and solutions if its drugs, small business and welfare to work that are considered black issues. I 2/3rds support it , but I don't believe in tax dollars for social programs. I just don't. But that's a different discussion. ...

re: What are specifically "black issues"? - prplngldtigr
I have had this discussion with lots of black friends , but man, when we really get into it can get heated. And I don't wanna lose friends over this type of conversation. It is a very sensitive topic with many and it's can be very contentious. I posted it here because I was in a waiting room and...

re: What are specifically "black issues"? - prplngldtigr
Tigerdev, I was thinking , perhaps I'd come off this way, but I really am interested in answers. I singled out "black issues" and didn't include "women's issues" , "gay issues"or "Hispanic issues" because Im well aware of the abortion , gay marriage and immigration/amnesty issues. Besides that, f...

And I am blessed to know many many people just like what your summed up in this post. Just people. Americans. It really is that easy if people don't sink into group think and live as individuals. ...

re: What are specifically "black issues"? - prplngldtigr
White privilege is ironic since the use of it assumes all whites have the same experiences and imagined advantages. Much like a room full of one color or one gender can't possibly be a diverse group with different backgrounds and belief systems. Hence the ridiculousness of the mythical "black is...

re: What are specifically "black issues"? - prplngldtigr
I agree with all your posts in this thread. Government is not and never will be the answer. The cry of racism is rapidly becoming a joke and simply a political tool for the weak minded. ...

re: What are specifically "black issues"? - prplngldtigr
Santorum was blasted for saying that 3 things will virtually assure an absence of poverty - Graduate High School Don't get pregnant out of wedlock ( commited relationship) Don't become addicted to drugs Pretty simple and common sensical. Somehow this was construed as racist. Why? And how ar...

What are specifically "black issues"? - prplngldtigr
Politicians pander to every minority group in ways that are increasingly infuriating. I recently listened to a black pundit excoriate Trump's recent focus on "black issues" and how Trump was racist because not all blacks were uneducated , unemployed and on social programs. Well the confusing part fo...

re: Fear the Walking Dead starts tonight - prplngldtigr
Agreed. I gave it half of season 1 and the characters were just so so bad. I wanted then all to die painful slow deaths. No redeemable qualities. And the political agenda (anti-gun) was too obvious to ignore at times. No reason for me to ever watch this show again. ...

The Tiger- An Old Hunter's Tale - prplngldtigr
Posting only as a recommendation if you haven't seen it, it's a beautiful movie. Thoroughly enjoyed. Heartfelt, spiritual story and visually captivating. Tigers were really well done ...think Life of Pi quality. [link=(http://m.imdb.com/title/tt5066556/)]IMDB[/link]...
