What's your favorite bar to drown your sorrows? - prplngldtigr
There used to be one in my hometown that was perfect for that sort of thing, but what about Baton Rouge/New Orleans/surrounding areas? Whatcha got for when you got too much to think about and don't want to deal with any of it for one night. ...

re: Powerball-cash vs annuity - prplngldtigr
Thanks for that! I realize it doesn't account for spending , but that would be difficult to ascertain anyway. Appreciate the breakdown. ...

re: Powerball-cash vs annuity - prplngldtigr
Hahahahahahaha I know , most I ask have that response , but I'm genuinely curious what would be the better move financially. I would think annuity , but what tax implications are there and what about the flexibility of having the total cash amount ? I'm no financial genius , so I figure many...

re: Rocky Balboa's evolution as a boxer - prplngldtigr
I'm a boxing fan and I agree. He should have fought Drago completely different although the angle of vengeance and the political climate at the time probably prevented that approach. ...

re: Movie moments that will always make you cry. - prplngldtigr
Wow, nice thread. Original! Some of these posts choked me up hahahhaa agree with many of these. Off the top my head I'll add Grand Terino since I don't see it mentioned. Couple moments in that one get me. Oh and Bridge to Terabithia too. Saw that in the theatre and had no idea this would be wh...

re: Why is everyone cheering when they put Anthony Davis on the screen? - prplngldtigr
It's an LSU game. He played for Kentucky. LSU is playin Kentucky. We are LSU fans. You don't see why he should be booed for one night ? At an LSU game? Where LSU is playing Kentucky...wow. I think he would get the connection and WOW may actually find humor in it knowing he is popular with th...

re: Wasn't there a kid from Riverside that transferred but played QB? - prplngldtigr
I had a chance to hangout with Deuce , his brother and his mom a couple years ago at an Easter get together. Just prior to him leaving for Tennessee. We talked LSU a good bit and he said (at least at that time ) he'd love to play for LSU and it would be "really cool"....

re: How does one determine who a "true fan" is anyway? - prplngldtigr
A simple way to look at it would be , the more of your time and energy and effort you put into something or someone would suggest you are more dedicated, the more dedicated you are would suggest perhaps you have a damn strong desire to enjoy being true to that certain something or someone because y...

re: Although turn around is unlikely...in 2001 we still screamed for firing all the - prplngldtigr
Whether YOU remember it or not, LSU fans were extremely down on Saban. I remember it VERY well. In fact , it was when I first really started to see just how ignorant a good portion of the LSU fan base is. Lots of revisionsist history around the Saban era. ...

re: Check in if you are not offended. - prplngldtigr
Doesn't bother me in the least , but I have a pretty twisted sense of humor and thick skin. Not much I cant find humor in and I appreciate a clever play on words or a sharp, witty one liner. Even in the most tragic of circumstances I can see a laugh or two. I wouldn't hang that sign though. I ...

re: JD Moore Is absolutely no flipping doubt about it going - prplngldtigr
Great confirmation! Our running game is an irresistible force and with Moore , the immovable object ain't so immovable. On a related note , I received a text from a friend some time back referring to JD as Fournette's FLESHlight...hahahahahaha ..quite the typo. Hahaha I know #7 follows closely...

re: Halloween - Movies to watch - prplngldtigr
Paranormal Activity 1 & 2 ....creeeeeeeepy , chilling and downright scary to me. The paranormal, particularly demonic intrusion , is the most frightening subject matter to me . Slashers and killers and things of this world , just don't give me that hallow feeing in the pit of my stomach. ...
