Ur right. I remember him playing shortstop while I was on vacation in Florida a t the time. He just subbed in 3 games.

List without Bianka Bell is travesty as well.

Looks like the OP is a sensitive penis.

trying to figure out his angle...
He's an anti baseball guy starting a baseball thread... there's always an angle.

You put way too much stock in hitting stats. Why not list defensive stats too?
Well, I did rank Nola third, who is the best fielding SS of the list. Fielding was definitely taken into account.

And downvoting responses like what Skip Bertman's list looks like with a link. Must be Darren Rovel. Compare this thread with LINK.

Got to love people that can point out a problem, (although this isn't one) but can't give a solution.

It really should be:
Russ Johnson, Brandon Larson, Aaron Hill and Alex Bregman in no particular order then everyone else..

You undertook a very difficult task in rating these players. Bravo on not shying away despite the anticipated backlash.
Russ Johnson, Jason Williams, Aaron Hill and Brandon Larson could all be number one on my list.
Lead us to a 2015 championship and Bregs rises.

I dont like those rankings.
Aaron Hill and Bregman cannot be outside of the top 3-4.
Nola was a stud defender but not top 3.

Hill and Bregman way too low.
Austin Nola a little too high.

yes down vote the ONLY four All Americans on your list being at the top.

Russ Johnson - Johnson hit .410 his last season in the pre-juiced bats era.
No, he hit during the "juiced bat" era.

Ive watched Bregman and Nola and maybe im caught in the now, but I believe Bregman is better
What made Nola better, and is invisible to most people, is his range. That amazing play that Bregman barely got to? Nola made it look easy. he is a better defensive shortstop than Bregman. However, I'd take Bregman over Nola because of his superior hitting.

quote:Holy shite I cant believe I just read that Bregman has twice the range of Nola. Nola was fundamentally sound, but Bregmans range blows his out of the water

Offense:
1.Johnson (Goat Offensively)
2.Larson (Took more Roids than Bonds but he could mash)
3.Hill
4.Williams (One of the best clutch hitters of all time)
5.Bregman
6.Theriot
7.Nola
8.Sheets
Defense:
1a.Bregman (More spectacular plays and range than any other LSU SS)
1b.Nola (Steadiest and most reliable of all time)
3.Sheets (Smooth as silk defensively)
4.Johnson (Underrated because he was such a great hitter)
5.Theriot
6.Williams
7.Hill
8.Larson
Until Bregman produces in the clutch (specifically the post season he cant be above those 4 offensively.) He's got a couple more weekends to move up the offense list.
