Passing had a chance for a completely negative result, running didn't.

Didn't run clock, didn't make them burn timeouts, and didn't get the first down. It might be the 2 worst calls miles has ever made, if only because the correct decision was so easy to arrive at.

Clemson stacking the box is WAY different than Alabama stacking the box. Clemson couldn't stop us on the ground

I hope you're joking. We had 99 yards rushing total. Take away the two long runs and we have hardly any rushing yards.

My daughter combs fake pony hair all day and she would have had the goddamn sense to run the ball after getting it to 2nd & 2. If you disagree, you need a nap.

That's taking into account all of the sack yardage.

Two completely different situations but I don't expect you to grasp that.

Yep. The passing game was kicking arse during the Bama game.

I am a big Miles advocate, that's probably not a secret on here, but I am so fed up with our predictability.

I agree on the being predictable. I can usually tell what play we are running by our formation and if I can do it , I know def co can.
I'm only talking about the pass on 2nd &2. That's it. It's clear we need a change at OC. Sadly it won't happen.

Mett toasted Bama's defense through the air the entire second half. Our passing game was shaky at best vs Clemson. Jeremy Hill had 125 yds on 12 carries, you have two shots to get two yards. Instead, we run a bootleg with Mett, who has a horrible completion percentage outside of the pocket this season.

Coaches are paid to give the players the best chance to succeed. Running Hill twice to try and get two yards was LSU's best chance.

During the Bama game , Miles was an idiot for not passing and trying to get the first and now he is an idiot for throwing to get the first down.

So we are now at the point where we use failed outcomes to defend prior failed outcomes.

actually from reading mett quotes the second play of the last series was a run-pass check and he switched it over to a pass.

If les Miles had ran into a 10 man front twice an not gotten a first, you would be blasting him for that. If you think the pass play on 2nd was bad, you don't know football. He called a play that Clemson was not ready for and we had a wide open wr. Wide open.

I agree. My dad and I were talking about it about an hour ago. No rushes from Hill in the 4th quarter, at all. 1 yard of rushing in the 4th.

Sure glad we had a month to get that game plan ready.

If college football counted sack yardage against the passing totals, we would have passed for about 85 yards last night, and rushed for about 150.

I liked the play call on 2nd & 2, but if you're gonna run that play there, you have to be 100% on not letting the clock stop, and you absolutely have to run on 3rd down after that.

Couldn't be our O Line giving up sacks, could it? 4 IN THE FIRST QUARTER!

All the more reason you don't pass on 2nd and 2.

Weird shite happens. Say he makes a beautiful pass but drops it.. then what. It was not smart to risk an incompletion there.

I loved the pass on 1st down tho.

I don't know why people are bringing up the Bama game. Which Bama game? The Bama game where the safety took an awful angle and the defense didn't hold?

Miles specifically said they had to pass it when they were facing a 10 man front. Yet the rantards want us to run, what a fricking joke.

Les Miles- "Well, we were not running the football. They were in a position where they out-numbered us in the run. The opportunity to make the throw was there."

Not really. If you have have 80 yards rushing on ten carries , but 75 came on one play, then your rushing attack was shut down except for one play. Look im not defending the offense or the Hill not getting any touches , just the pass on 2nd.
