I don't think there will ever be a program as dominant as lsu was in the 90's.

Its definitely tougher but I think it's still possible for a school to be a major factor every year. Wasn't that long ago South Carolina played in three consecutive title games.

Two SEC titles

Two SEC titles in 6 years is a pretty good accomplishment, no doubt.

3 west titles

Doesn't mean much.

five tournament titles

I really couldn't care less about the SEC tournament titles. It's nice to win and all, but if that's your claim to fame then we have the wrong guy. You think Vandy wants to trade their 2014 NCAA title for our 2014 SEC tournament title??

an average of 49 wins in the last four years

And 0 in Omaha. Quit losing to Stony Brook and Houston in the postseason at home. It kills all the good will you build by doing a good job in the regular season.

It's sad that players who do so much for the LSU fan have fruit cakes such as you crapping on them with nonsense such they haven't had success.

I haven't ripped on the players one bit. It's their coaches' job to get them prepared. Those players know that playing at a program with 6 national titles brings great expectations. They welcome that challenge and work hard to meet those expectations. But they also understand that we don't raise flags and create plaques for SEC tournament titles.

as other posters previously have stated...We are LSU, Skip has spoiled us...we have a great team and anything less than a Natty is a wasted season

In between B and C. If we go 0-2 in Omaha I'll consider the season a failure.

C is the correct answer.

If we go 0-2 in Omaha, that will be disappointing, but that alone doesn't make the season a failure.

I know I'm parsing words here, but let's be realistic. When you get to Omaha, all the teams are very good and losses can happen. Doesn't mean we're a failure.

This season is already a success!!! It's a matter of, "how successful do you want to be?"

It would be nice to win a game in Omaha.

Three months ago I would have said, an SEC Championship, an SEC Tourn Championship, or a trip to Omaha. Now I'd say two wins in Omaha. Gosh I'm spoiled!

legit NC's

There is no such thing as a legit national title in cfb. The coaches and players have no control over making the playoffs. Its not a legit title if you get VOTED into the game.

A - we're likely losing some major contributors this year so we need to win now.

Only that LSU is the best in the west after a full regular season and allows the committee to give you a better a seed. Are you suffering from mental illness?

I really couldn't care less about the SEC tournament titles

Right! Lets not care about winning post season tournaments that automatically puts you in a regional, gives your school national exposure, confidence, and a better seed. That 19 must be your age.

Every school loses in postseason season play. You are crapping on LSU for doing something every school has done and the more a school sees postseason play, the more they will lose in the postseason. It's called reality.

I haven't ripped on the players one bit

Who in the frick do you think make or don't make the plays that win or lose ball games if not the players? The players on the field are much more responsible for what happens in a game than anyone in the dugout.

I love how the chicken shite fans among our fan base think that when they crap all over one of our programs they can do so without crapping on the kids who come to LSU to play for a program.

you're missing the point. Just because other programs would be ecstatic with lsu's record over the last 5 seasons doesn't mean that's where lsu should be. Apparently you didn't read my earlier post. West titles and sec tourney champs are not a commensurate return on the program's investment in baseball. Lsu invests as much as any other program. Thus, lsu should be in Omaha more often than not
