If true, I really don't get why LSU compliance has such a hard on for arse kissing the NCAA.

There's only one reason for that type of arse kissing - and that's Bo looking for a position with the NCAA. Which, for Bo, might be easier to come by considering that I'm sure he has some type of relationship with Mark Emmert - the NCAA President.

If true, it means she has a lot of power over LSU... information that could hurt LSU.

I'm sorry, but I'm going to need a bit more context as to HOW the Sr. Associate Athletic Director for Women's sports would wield so much power over the men's basketball team and presumably, the Athletic Director? If these comments are to be believed (and I'm not sure they are) then LSU's athletic dept and administration as a whole is in complete and utter fricking shambles. This is the equivalent of a mid-level manager directing how the CEO handles business with one of his vice-presidents. Something isn't adding up here

Based on her listing on LSUsports.net, it seems she’s the 4th or so ranking member of the AD, and she’s the most tenured.

I agree it’s odd considering she’s over women’s sports, Olympic sport program, and cheerleaders. Does Olympic sport program include men’s hoops? I guess maybe.

It can't be a great relationship. Saban got Bahnsen moved out of compliance when he was at LSU. Only Emmert would have had the stroke to get that done.

No. Olympic is T&F, Swim & Dive, that type of shite. Basically, she's over non-revenue sports.

Men’s hoops is definitely not considered one of the Olympic sports.

stop work authority

Damn, if compliance has anything close to this level of authority in the program, everything is wrecked.

There is no other SEC school that has a compliance department running the damn school. If heads don't roll as a result of this shitshow, there had better be a mass exodus of financial and fan support until changes are made. This is embarrassing and unacceptable.

Or it was "do this now and I'll take care of you later..."

Doesn’t her bio mention baseball also? It’s one of the most odd job descriptions I’ve ever seen.

Seriously, what would happen if the AD and Wade meet without the NCAA and/or LSU compliance department?

What can they do other than stomp their feet and whine like little girls?

The AD has EVERY RIGHT as the head of the athletic department to decide when and where he will meet with Wade and if anyone else will be allowed in the room.

What am I missing?

It does say “tiger baseball”, but I think it’s probably a typo and they mean the batgirls

It seems like the compliance department should just be there for show basically and not giving orders. They should be the ones told what not and what to do.

The compliance department should exist to recommend policies and procedures and to audit (internal) the department against the policies and procedures that have been implemented.

It should have zero authority other than to notify appropriate parties when it identifies something questionable.

If the AD decides to make a decision based on teh recommendation of the Compliance department, that's still a decision the AD makes. He cannot hide behind the compliance department.

I'll tell you something else. If the LSU compliance department is torpedoing these meetings, LSU is going to have a damn hard time firing Will Wade for cause. Wade has to meet with his bosses but the compliance department are not his bosses and he doesn't answer to them. This is a big, fat mess.

One of (and arguably the) most powerful men in the state is publicly calling for heads to roll.

Lipsey is not on an island --- far from it.

It's always darkest before dawn, and that applies here.

LSU will be better as a result of all this.

I just hope and pray that the clowns don't fire Wade as a final "frick you" to students, alumni and fans on their way out the door.

Why can’t they call a meeting like everyone wants with everyone there and then go into Executive Session?
