Close friends of mine that are very close to A player's family were saying in the weeks leading up to 1/9 that Mett would be the first QB off the bench. He was supposedly taking more snaps in the practices leading up to the game than Lee. They were saying Lee had no chance of playing. now I never heard he was injured though. We've also never heard Mett say he was hurt.

Didn't play JL cause he threw 2 picks first time around. CLM said that ZM hurt his throwing had in bowl practice and that if he hadn't he probably would have put him in the game.(paraphrased)
A big FU to JJ for talkin shite bout the tigers after he left.

i'm sick of this topic so i'll leave it at this.....

it doesn't matter who was behind center because the o-line was getting fricking slammed like a screen door all night. should he have made a change?...yes. would it have mattered?...no. do i want bacon i my cheeseburger?...frick yes.

Me neither.

I guess we'll have to wait for someone to ask him about it.
Until then, I'm sure the rant can keep from jumping to conclusions.

The defense having to respect the pass would've helped the OL out tremendously.

Quite the display of preemptive assholery there.

the o line got slammed because there was no threat of a down field passing attack and of course they were prepared to shut down the gay arse option from a qb who doesn't even run well.

I'm not sure why people keep saying it wouldn't have mattered. We switched quartered backs in the first game and won. If nothing else, didn't we already prove that switching quartered backs mid-game was a formula for victory? Maybe they didn't prepare for a passing game just like the first time when, as Bama fans tell it, "we didn't prepare for the option and that's why you won."

I've been in the camp that thinks that Mett should have had a chance in the BCS.
Mett.

IF (and that's a pretty unstable if) he was injured...things get complicated.

Guilbeau says Mett looked surprised when Miles said this. Don't know if the surprise was that he would have played, or if the hand thing isn't true.

I have no idea if he was hurt or not. All I know is if Mett wants to play this year he better back CLM's statement.
