I have no idea if he was hurt or not. All I know is if Mett wants to play this year he better back CLM's statement.

when something clearly is not working.. and it was CLEAR.. at least try.

and mettenberger may have looked surprised because he was ready to go in that game.. however what miles was saying is that an injury prevent his further progression to their liking.. or some blah blah stuff.

OK, BUT Sban had already figured out what LEE could do, And with Jefferson running a very predictable Offense. It WOULD NOT have mattered. BOTTOM Line is that the O-line was getting beat ALL over the field. No matter the QB.

It's the new season. No lee. No Jefferson.
Mettenberger is our quarterback for the 2012 football season and will play in the 2012 season. Last season is last season for a reason. For the love of God /thread/topic forever

so just sit there and take it?

don't even attempt to try to win when something is clearly not working. omg he threw 2 picks in the other game.. i rather go down swinging than sit back and take it. at least lee moves the chains..

how many times did LSU cross the 50 yard line?

Watch, if you dare, in the second half. We began running come back and dig routes with Beckham. They were wide open. He caught the only one Jefferson threw even remotely close to him. Those routes were open and there weren't problems getting the quartered back protected. The problem was the guy pulling the trigger. 15-0, at its worst, isn't insurmountable.

ETA: average AJ threw the game away in Tuscalusa with his pick, yet he got to play in the second game, and lo and behold, had a better game. Who knew that independent trials could give divergent results.

I am not saying he should not have tried JL. I am saying I doubt it would have mattered. Saban already knew he could pressure lee and cause problems. The O-line would have had to improve drastically to make a difference. Face it. We were outcoached all the way around.

i'm sick of this topic so i'll leave it at this.....

it doesn't matter who was behind center because the o-line was getting fricking slammed like a screen door all night. should he have made a change?...yes. would it have mattered?...no. do i want bacon i my cheeseburger?...frick yes.

you're not saying anything that any of us haven't been saying all along, yet somehow it's ok for you to say it, but no one else can?

I just want to make sure I understand the posting rules.

I guess we were NOT watching the same game.

I will say this. IF he had put JL in they WOULD have crossed the 50,.

You didn't hear about him being injured in the LEGENDARY fight in the locker-room before the game?

This was nothing more than a public show of support for mett... miles showing that he believes in mett. He can say that 6 months later but we all know its bullshite so why waste time discussing it??

Things were going just about as bad as they could possibly go for JJ and we still didn't see a change at qb. (The same could be said about the Georgia game.) Fact is, les wasn't going to take JJ out of that game. What he said today was nothing more than him trying to build Mett's confidence by saying in front of a whole room of reporters, "yeah he would have been my guy off the bench if he wasn't hurt. He was capable of stepping in to play" yada yada. You people are making too much of it.
