I have no problem with anybody who is SKEPTICAL about a kid's ability. But to reduce yourself to being a jaded pessimist who thinks everybody sucks just gets old. Every once in a while there is a very happy surprise. Think Matt Mauck, for those of you who aren't 17.

This guy didn't have a very good OL either and was running for his life... Check out our QBs stats without quality OL play!! Arky game comes to mind!

What this means is that the staff was not feeling confident about getting a 2nd QB this class that could be a quality backup to Franks. Depending on how it's done, this also saves a scholly for another OL/DL position.

Barton Simmons is a pretty spot on evaluator. He really likes this kid. He doesn't throw the term NFL talent around often and said he has that kind of talent. He said he had almost no help and ran for his life to avoid getting killed. He feels like kid will shine with the talent we have at lsu.

We need somebody back there that can throw the football, read defenses and efficiently distribute the football to our WR's, TE's and RB's. The last thing LSU needs is another QB that doesn't have any SEC Championship caliber qualifications in any area except for the ability to rapidly move his feet and legs forward.
Give me a 5.2 Statue that can see the bigger picture and get the ball into the hands of out playmakers.......
