Bama plays Tennessee, so I think CBS picks that one up instead of Auburn LSU, unless Auburn wins out and so does LSU.

Hopefully that will mean a night game, since we are playing an early home game against Kentucky next week.

Florida vs LSU is a lock for a day game on CBS.

both are ranked and after looking at the other SEC games, that is the best matchup, if both remain undefeated or at least if LSU does.

Florida?
Only other game that they could take would be Auburn and Arky. But if both LSU and UF have not lost no chance that isn't the 2:30 CBS game IMO.

No. I read it wrong. I thought he was talking about the Auburn game and then said the Florida/LSU game was in the same week.

That's why I said I'm not following you. My b.

Doesn't CBS still get to pick first?

We basically have two chances, and they both depend on CBS. Our best chance is for CBS to choose some game other than an LSU game for its 3:00PM Eastern broadcast, and the Alabama-Tennessee game is the most likely. Our second chance is if CBS chooses an LSU home game for its one prime time broadcast. That game would most likely be the Florida-LSU game. If Florida beats Alabama on October 1st, CBS might want to broadcast the Florida-LSU game at night from Tiger Stadium. The only problem is there isn't a real attractive game for CBS to broadcast in the afternoon unless they like Auburn-Arkansas.

the Florida-Alabama game is already set to be CBS' primetime game this year which is shocking with LSU-Bama looming a month later that has the potential to be a 1-2 matchup.

When does the SEC's contract with CBS expire? I don't like the 2:30 kickoffs. Night games are just a better atmosphere.

CBS likes to select early season games for its only prime time slot. That way they don't get caught with their pants down if the season doesnt got as planned. By taking a game in Sept. they guarantee that the teams won't already have more than one loss between them.

Wasn't our big primetime game with UF in '07 in October?

cbs should move their afernoon game to 4. That way it could still be pretty much over by 7 and everyone is happy.

unless I am looking at the schedule wrong, Auburn and Florida are our only home conference games that have not been decided what time the game will be. Kentucky will be at 11:30 and Arkansas will be at 1:30. Both Florida and Auburn are TBA, but with Florida doing well, think CBS will pick that game for 2:30 broadcast.
