Didnt see it but if he worded it the way you did that sounds like he means they are playing to get in the NC but need to concentrate on winning the game first and foremost. If they play trying to blowout OU it could backfire and they lose.

I heard what he said and the way that it was worded was clear that he meant Okie Stae was no longer playing for a shot at the BCS Champ game.

It is the case because Bam currently receiving almost 100% of the 2nd place votes.

And OSU needs to be playing to:

1) win the Big 12 Championship and

2) beat their hated rival OU

Anything after that is lagniappe relative to winning to ivied game.

I honestly do not want to play OSU.

Playing OSU would be worse than losing to Bama in BCSNCG, for me. I live here and work with a bunch of gumptards.

No one can explain why this is the case.

If OSU looks really really good in a week where Alabama doesn't even play a game, it may convince some voters to give them that #2 ranking. College football is reactionary, and OSU obviously has the better resume. I don't think it should or will happen, but they have to look great to have a shot.

I saw that.

There's just not enough clamor for OSU, sadly. It never developed.

The only chance Bama gets squeezed out is if LSU loses, today. And that isn't certain.

The funny thing is no one cares to mention that LSU beat Alabama at Alabama...and LSU played its worst game of the year. If LSU had actually showed up against Bama, LSU would have won by at least 25.

Pretty ignorant statement. LSU had it's worst game because Bama's D is exceptional. You sound like an Oregon or WVU fan by making the statement you did. Bama is good and deserves the credit

Take that shite to the Poli Board.
Okie ST is still very much in it if they beat OU. The voters aren't as stupid as Espn thinks.

LSU played field position and scored in the redone.

Bama has gone 2/12 on field goals from outside of the redzone. They got in the redzone once all game. Basically Bama only really had one reliable scoring opportunity. They got extemely lucky to even score 6 points with the shitty kicking game they have.

I agree with this, but for someone to suggest LSU rolls by 25 in a rematch sounds retarded

If Iowa St beats Kansas St, that will defintely help their cause. That game is on all of the Fox Sports regional channels. It's 7-7 at the start of the 2nd.
