I was watching ABC too but they broke away to announce Herman Cain is suspending his campaign so I didn't see what you are talking about.

Did Craig James say that? He and Mike Patrick were calling that game.

I heard it as well watching the Hou/USM game.

Didnt see it but if he worded it the way you did that sounds like he means they are playing to get in the NC but need to concentrate on winning the game first and foremost. If they play trying to blowout OU it could backfire and they lose.

OSU would have to blow OU's doors off to have any kind of a shot.

I agree. But I'm not trying to turn this into "that" type of thread. It was just the first I heard of them playing JUST to win that game...with no other implications and thought I might have missed something.

It was John Saunders and he clearly said OSU is not playing for a shot at the NC. It was pretty pathetic that they were talking about the conference title deciding games today and then didn't even really talk about the game. Just mentioned it at the end throwing their pathetic attempt to belittle it.

I am really amazed at the pathetic lengths ESPN and ABC are going for this shite.

Everyone at ESPN sticking to the company line, saying a rematch is certain. But the pollsters, hopefully, will make their decision based on their own opinions and not what ESPN says.
