Ok...crazy question....How close are we to a Top 25 team?

Is there somewhere to see where we are in the ap or coaches poll? Arky is at 23, so we can't be too far off I wouldn't think. (And yes, I realize our shitty first games...)

LSU has 0.0 top 25 votes.
They'd probably be ranked right now if they beat Oklahoma. If not definitely after the win this Saturday. They'd be 16-7. Ah well. LSU is chugging now.

The top 64 don't make the tournament. A lot of auto bids are way worse than 64th.

they were about 38 in the coaches poll before the loss to oklahoma.... so they are probably 45 or so right now.

You google the polls and see if they are in the "Others Receiving Votes" list at the bottom. LSU got some votes in the Jan. 18th and 25th Coaches Polls. They'll get some votes in the Feb. 8th poll if they win Saturday.

This team should be ok for the tourney, the more you think about it. A decent finish gets us around 20 wins, plus I think we get a couple wins in the SEC tourney. It sucks that we had such a crappy start to the season, or else we could be a legit contender for a high seed.

If we win our next three, that puts us at 17-8. That would have us pretty close, given the Simmons factor.
I would guess if we get to 17-8, we'll be ranked in the Coaches Poll, but not the AP.

If we win the next 3 MSU, USCe and Aggie, that would put us at 17-8 and we'd probably be somewhere very close to 25th if not in it for the polls that come out on the 15th

We have 8 losses. We're still an on-the-bubble team, let alone Top-25.

I said earlier that we'd probably not get ranked this year but looking at our next 3 games, we may. If we can win @USC and against likely top5 A&M, I think we can sneak in at 25.
