Man, what a great accomplishment for those two studs to share in the history books. Pretty amazing that it worked out like that.
Love these two, but Jarvis especially will always be considered one of the greatest Tigers I can remember.
Loved his positivity off the field and on the field the guy made the tough catches look routine and the unenviable routes over the middle his calling card. He is a truly special player that we are fortunate to have continuing to represent our school and state.
Odell may be one of the most physically gifted players in the league, but I wish he had the mentality and focus that Jarvis does. Imo, he hurts his game by letting other players get into his head.
If he could just focus on the next play instead of jawing with DBs for whatever comments or elbows they throw his way they would come much less frequently than they do.
Laugh them off and let his play do the talking for him and he'll be much happier than he appears to be at this point.
Regardless, much respect to both of these guys and here's to many more years, highlights, and records to both of these Tiger legends

Those two are up there with the best WR duos in college football history. I'm trying to think of other teams who had two NFL legit #1 WRs in the starting lineup. One team jumps to mind and that's the 2000 Hurricanes with Santana Moss, Reggie Wayne, and a Freshman Andre Johnson. Those early 00's Miami teams were just unreal. Best players money could buy.

and some people still think we didn't squander talent with Mett, Hill and those 2

The real question here is which one of them has the better hair.

records that are based on 11 games compared to 13 games?

OBJ lost the UGA game with his muffed punt
we scored 41 on the road in a conference game.
should be a win every time.
poor secondary play cost us.
go back and watch the td passes murray threw. db's are up in arms and yelling at each other on nearly every one.

Its always the coach's fault? Maybe it was the mass early exit of elite defensive players to the NFL over the previous two seasons that caused the defensive lapses. You can only replace so many in a short period of time.
Dave Aranda replaced his entire front 7 his second year at UW and the defense IMPROVED.
Yes - LSU lost an insane amount of defensive talent to the draft after '11 and '12, but the coaches have to know the situation and be prepared for that. The 2013 LSU defense was not.

l you are crazy...we won with defense not the option
What? You do realize you have to score to win right? The only reason we won on 11/5 was because of the option JJ ran that day.

we ran the same exact game plan we did in Tuscaloosa...
Yeah we ran the only game plan that worked all year against bama in 2011.

e were not an option offense
We moved the ball with the option on 11/5.
Try to keep up

The same guy, who with a month to prep for a NC, changes 0 and tries to beat Saban with the option.
I soured on Miles this year.
Two coaches left the stadium after the 9-6 offensive shite show.
One thought to himself, "if I get another shot at that defense, I'm going to have to attack it differently".
The other one was a blithering fricking idiot.

Saban on the other hand came in with a new gameplan and attacked TM7 with passes to the T
Are you ever right? Bama's TE had 37 yards receiving on 1/9.
Ive seen the all 2 film from 1/9.
TM7 gave up 4 passes for zero tds.
You have a stupid idea of attacking if you think 4 passes give up is attacking.

That idiot had just beaten Saban twice in a row.
JJ was a better qb than JLee. Deal with it.

Showing up to the championship game with the exact same fricking game plan was gross incompetence.
Period

Says the guy that doesnt blame Orgeron for the Florida game this season. Hypocrit much?

The option was the only scheme that had gained any yards against bama. I dont have a problem with coming into the game with it. My gripe was not changing the gameplan once bama shut it down. Its like he gave up.

Oh please.
He certainly was culpable but there's a slight difference between working with an offense to built and having to work with an offense you didn't.
I'm not excusing O, but your point is obtuse

bullshite.

bullshite. Blaming miles and cam for mett ints is tthe same as blaming O for Guice fumbles. Only an idiot would say there is a difference.

It's like saying if JJ was hurt and JL had to start, you still run the option cause, well, Georgia Southern did it!
No. You run what your offense is actually competent at running. And no. The option didn't "work" in November unless Miles expected to win 9-6 again.
That's like arguing that when GA Southern bumps into teams that suck against the pass they should ask their option QB to be a drop back passer.
That's nonsensical
Posted on 1/4/17 at 1:17 pm to ShortyRob
Regardless. Great accomplishments by OBjr and Landry.

But he wasnt hurt.
The option was the only scheme that worked against bama.
The problem wasnt trying the option.
The problem was staying with it.

Holy shite. If you cant admit that the option was he only reason we had offensive success on 11/5 then we should just stop here.

No its not. JJ is the lsu career and single season qb rushing record holder. Stop acting like him running the option was this wild concept.
