SIAP.

OBJ and Landry tied with 288 receptions through their first 3 years.
288 beats the previous record of most receptions through 3 seasons.
And they both did it. That seems like a crazy coincidence to me!
It's fairly astonishing that that offense didn't average 60 points a game.

And they will both be playing in the playoffs this weekend as WR1's for their respective teams.

In 2013, OBJ lost the UGA game with his muffed punt, Mett lost the Ole Miss game with 3 INT, and Bama just beat us.

Even though those mistakes were costly, the defense had a chance to win all three of those games and failed every time. Chavis cost us that season, not the offense.

This is a hot take

The one bad play by OBJ cost us the game, and not the 77 bad plays by our defense

Its always the coach's fault? Maybe it was the mass early exit of elite defensive players to the NFL over the previous two seasons that caused the defensive lapses. You can only replace so many in a short period of time.

The same guy, who with a month to prep for a NC, changes 0 and tries to beat Saban with the option.

I soured on Miles this year.

great players make mistakes...we still should have won that game

maybe with a better OC and HC he doesn't make those mistakes

We had a qb having 1 of the best seasons in lsu history,a rb having one of the 3 best rushing seasons in lsu history, a rb setting the lsu single season ypc record, and 2 1000 yard wrs.
We were 9th in the entire country in points per play and 11th in the country in yards per play. We had less than 22 1st downs just twice that year.

No team in the history of the ncaa has averaged 60.
The 1944 army team was the closest with 56 a game.

Do you remember 2011? The option was the only offense to have success against that Bama defense. Lsu beat then the 1st time with the option and Georgia Southern ran for 290 yards on them with the option.
It wasnt that they tried using the option, it was the lack of a back up plan once bama stopped it.

lol you are crazy...we won with defense not the option

we ran the same exact game plan we did in Tuscaloosa...Saban on the other hand came in with a new gameplan and attacked TM7 with passes to the TE. It is still unforgiveable that we went with the same gameplan and then when it was shut down didn;t have a plan b

I stopped caring for chavis after Clemson, but 2013 was just abysmal. I talked up that defense so much

especially considering we had fricking Tredavious and Rashard on opposite ends.
