No tiger band for UW game

unfortunately the budget cuts are keeping us from even sending a small pep band.im pretty bummed because it wouldve been a really good trip for my last year

They should have tacked on an extra $5-10 a ticket for those going to UW...that would have covered a significant portion of the costs.

Anyway, sorry about the TGBFTL not making the trip. It's a shame Washington will have to wait another year to hear them play. I remember after the Arizona St. game a few years back the LSU fans commenting how shitty it was not having the band there.

i think we sent 50 to that which is what i thought we would do this year but im not positive

Pretty sure the FB team is paying for the FB team to fly. Tell the band to make money and they can fly to all the games. Football makes the money to run the entire athletic program. They can travel however the frick they want.

we send 100 or 110 member pep bands to all the other away games but there is no all 325 member trip this year. in my 3 years it has been auburn twice and ole miss. but this year its just gonna be the pep bands

In 03 against Arizona, the band didn't make it. It really made a big difference as the organized cheers just didn't happen. Sucked since LSU scored 59 points.
But some LSU fan did have a trombone, and that helped. I didn't realize they let you take musical instruments into stadiums.

If this is true, and the part about no full band trip this year for an SEC game, I think it's crap.
I hope Joe Alleva and the athletic department get multiple complaints. As much pride as the band brings to the fans of this school, it's a shame they would cut them out of one of the most unique road trips in LSU history.

No, someone just needs to start a website that accepts donations to help pay for at least the full band trip to an SEC game.
