They don't say anything about Alabama. Everyone blames Jefferson and Miles. They do deserve some blame to an extent, but at some point you have to be honest and give credit where credit is due.

During that abortion of a game, someone posted that "Alabama wasn't beating us, we were beating ourselves". It's honestly the only half chuckle I got that night--before telling him that Alabama was skullfricking us to death in out backyard.

No, sir. Alabama is beating us.

They killed us in the trenches on offense.

hey hey, I laid some of the blame on Bama.

lost in all the "ZOMG, JJ's in and they're stacking the box" talk (and refutation) is that not only did they not stack the box, they didn't have to to whup our blocking.

think about that for a sec, the blocking that mauled everyone (even UGA after a half) just got stoned like that repeatedly by basically 7 dudes. them some bad bad boys.

The way the ball came out of his hand while he was throwing to receivers on Sunday also reminded scouts of arm strength that can stretch defenses in a vertical attack

No he can't.

His game tape isn't exemplary

Because he's completely incapable of stretching defenses in a vertical attack.

Tis is a classic example of scouts falling in love with measurables. The dude sucks for 4 years against the best defenses in college football but they think they can find the miracle cure to fix him.

Right. So he had time to compose himself, think about it, and issue a statement.

CRUCIFY HIM.

FWIW, he wasn't even the worse player on offense that night.

Yes, they do.

Bama had an excellent defense, LSU did little to help themselves though. The offense executed poorly at times, as well. I haven't seen anyone saying Bama didn't have a great defense. LSU had some talent, but may have put up the worst offensive performance Bama saw all season.

You should send them a sternly worded letter explaining to them that you know more about professional scouting than they do. They're sure to take your advice on board if you mention that you post on TD.com.

bull. shite. I know Hurst was bad, but come on.

and if that's from that Facebook fan page, I kinda doubt he wrote that. not saying that I haven't seen him critique himself though.

Being a possible late round pick is not having scouts falling in love with measurables. You are acting like that analysis is projecting him to be a first rounder.

He has potential. Now who knows if he ever reaches it, but the same can be said for all late round picks.

I hope he's drafted first round and he holds out for a ton of $$ and gets PAID!!!!!

Then I hope he's allowed to sit behind a veteran and receive proper tutoring. Then I hope he's handed a team that he can win with and watch him fall flat on his face and embarrass himself and his university

Oh oh oh, my bad are we talking JR or JJ?

Two false starts both resulting in third and long. A hold on a first down play resulting in third and long. And three sacks by his assignments.

That's a pretty awful night.

Wait, but he had the worst draft grade evvvvvurrrrrrrrr....

The draft grades were silly considering how well he did in his actual drills.

Being the QB, his performance affected the team the most. You can't dress it up. I honestly think Miles gave up though by mid third quarter, and wanted to let JJ finish out the game. It's actually the performance vs UGA that raise the most eyebrows though.
