Crowtons obviously...he was the QB coach.

Both deserved better and I hope both get some shot at the next level, but I imagine their shitty instruction at LSU has ruined them for any real shot to play QB, anywhere.

maybe. Flynn seemed to survive his one year with Crowton so who knows

choctaw, come on now. We will give you one more chance.

It's so obvious that he has to find it, someday.

Too bad his boss let him roam the sideline and press box for several years after his usefulness.

JJ and Lee were screwed at LSU.

Agreed.

Ahh the anti Miles twist. Nice.

I don't know what was going on behind the scenes but yes ultimately Miles should have canned GC after we won the NC in 2007. I don't understand why he didn't.

Hell yeah. The first 3/4 of the season.

Let's see. We ran shop on everyone all year except for two games.

Those two games were against the same team.

We didn't score a TD in either game. We scored two FGs in the first that came off a big play and an interception to the 15 yard line.

Is it possible, and I need everyone to use their thinking caps here, but is it possible that Alabama's defense was just really, really good and in college football you aren't going be successful on offense when the defense can pressure you with four and five?

'07 - first year and National Championship
'08 - can't fire him...they just won a National Championship
'09 - Miles wanted to let him go but was overruled
'10 - let go after the season

not that difficult to understand. But once again....like moths to a flame...the instinct kicks in and its "blame Miles" time

To be fair, Miles wanted him gone after 2009.

I am not anti Miles. In fact, have said for years that while I disagree with some of his decisions, he is the best man for the job.

I am not a blind homer, however and can admit the truth. Miles fricked up. Those who can't admit it have absolutely no credibility. Good thing, those folks are a very small part of our fan base.

He is what 6'5" 220-230? Maybe a little light but good size with decent speed. Not sure what position exactly but I am no nfl scout and neither is anyone else here. I am just saying I could see teams trying him out at a different position.

Good for JJ. He did poorly in his last two college games, but at some point it's time for the beatings to stop. He seems like a decent kid.

I don't blame CLM for keeping Crowton around as his he was overruled when he DID originally want to get rid of him. I do wonder why we hired Billy Gonzales after that rather than a QB coach.

Unfortunately, Crowton was still there until 2011 and his footprint was still present. LSU didn't have a QB coach for years.

And how did our other QB do in that situation?

Miles fricked up when he hired him in hindsight. I personally loved GC in the NC year..though there were times that I shook my head.

The next year Perriloux got booted and Lee was thrown to the wolves. Fire GC then? Green QB. Bad situation. Hell no.

The following year a shell shocked Lee sits and true frosh JJ played. Fire him now? Maybe..rumors that Les wants him gone. I wanted him gone. Doesn't happen.

GC is gone the next year.

You are a year off I believe. He lingered for three years after the NC
