LOL u do realize that its very hard for TRUE freshman to make impacts on the DL in the SEC right? You do realize that brockers, mingo, montgomery etc all redshirted right? I'm guessing you didnt think before u posted any of that.

Most games are won at the LOS...if we don't get the DT position fixed, no NC is in the offing...and the LBs....lots of work to be done there...but next year should be better overall if this class comes in as expected...jmho

Are we actually going to have team leaders next year?

We are going to lose 5 would be SRs that would normally fill this role. We had the same problem coming into this year.

Who are our impact players on offense? Magee & Fournette?

And on Def? Has any player in the front 7 given you even the slightest chubby this year? What about at safety?

how can you tell? He looked composed against a really bad team yesterday. That's all we have to go on. 10 passes ever.

It amazes me how people can not see how unbelievable it is for a true freshman backup QB to come in in the 4th quarter and lead a 99 yard drive to score against a SEC opponent, who quite frankly had been playing decent (forget their record). If you can't see the "promise" in that, then you really need to go get another hobby.

No one that knows football is that lame.

He came in a pressure situation and performed at a high level
This. Is. What. You. Look. For. In. A. Quarterback..

Any numbnuts can throw a ball 40 yards, but how many can do it when the money is on the table?

I am a lot more optimistic after seeing him play yesterday, but I'll hold off on the t-shirts.

I agree LE, we lack leadership and if these underclassmen continue to bolt we will rarely will have leaders on the team.

That is a huge problem

I totally agree with this.
The success of this upcoming recruiting class is critical . With the talent available, we need to get the top guys not only for the talent but also because if we don't, it will have a negative emotional effect.

This is akin to playing a shitty round of golf at a relatively easy course, then on the last hole pulling out a new club you've never hit before and putting it in the hole from 220 yards out and walking off the green saying "I think my game is starting to come around".

Next year will be a struggle our only saving grace will be a favorable schedule, but I foresee another 3 loss season coming.

"Next year is beginning to shape up"

Unless Les is retiring it'll be more of the same. Third or fourth in the West, hoping for another Cotton Bowl.

DT will be a struggle. We will not be able to stop the top teams from running on us.

Secondary can only improve and should be a strength of the team.

DE should be solid. But they aren't the best pass rushing group.

LB crew should be better but I don't have that high of expectations.

WR is a step down.

QB is a step down but promising for the following year.

RB is fine with LF.

FB is good.

OL should be quite good.

TE should be impressive. Young group this hear and Desean Smith will become a much better player with a year of development.

I'd expect two or three losses.

as will LB...
as will Safety...
as will WR...
as will QB...

I'd like to say that OL will be a strength, but frankly they are the most consistent group of underachievers that we have each year. I'd expect nothing less from that group again next year.

why would you expect better? Welter is still Welter. Barrow is gone. Kwon is the only decent backer we have. Clifton Garret may.... big maybe... step in and play.

Not worried about OL.

Safety will be interesting.I like Thompson and RJ has some skills to play FS once he learns the scheme.

LB is going to be average. The group has been average for a long time.

Separation is tough for the group of young WRs. Dural has the speed but hasn't proved anything yet.
