I wish they would have a rule on entering the draft like the NFL does. It's ashame we only have Big Ben for a year. But more importantly across the nation how much better college basketball would be year on year out with great ones staying in school.

They would just go overseas if that was in place.

I dislike it. It should either be you stay three years or go out of high school. It's dumb for
Them to come school for a year.

There's absolutely no reason for Ben to be playing in college at all.

The NFL rule is facist and the NBA rule is silly, both are un-American.

You do realize there wasn't a 1-year rule for 20 years in the NBA.

I'd love to put some arbitrary stipulation on when you can start your career.

It would be great for college basketball but maybe not so much for the NBA or the kids themselves. Having a two (or three) year rule would probably increase the parity in college basketball alot, because teams like Kentucky and Duke would be less attractive to top recruits since they would be stacked with top-ranked upperclassmen. However unlike the NFL, there are a lot of kids coming out of high school who are actually ready to play in the NBA (Simmons is one of them). For some perspective, Anthony Davis, who is a top 5 player in the NBA now, would have been a senior in college last season when he was a 1st team All-NBA caliber player.

It just sucks that even the commentators every game have commented that he is the first pick of the draft next year. I mean let the kid enjoy that 1 year of college ball and talk him up for player of the year or something.

Or if you want to think rationally, he never should have had to attend college at all to earn a living at his profession.

We're actually lucky to have him for a year.

He was NBA ready last year.

It's dumb to go to school for 1 year but Kentucky would be unbeatable if they had to stay another year. They lose 5 starters almost every year
