You sir are correct in most of what you wrote.

Let me ask this question, with miles bringing in the talent yr after yr, why is it that most yrs our offense looks like a high powered junior high school offense?

The rankings of said group show they are very mismanaged.

All of that to say this.

As long as miles is the head coach you will see this repeat.

Offense will rank around 60-75.

When we play big games that we must win to stay in control of our own destiny, we will lose.

Look back with the exception of 11.

This happens almost every year.

Oh, is our top 10 talent suddenly going to help us actually finish in the top 10 this year after not doing so in five of the last seven? Glad to hear it.

Really? Other than 2011, since when do we EVER beat Arkansas in a game that isn't close? Les Miles simply cannot coach against Arkansas. Every team he has ever had, except for that one in 2011, has struggled and performed below expectations against Arkansas. Why would that magically change this year?

It'll take some luck and wild Les moments this season, but after seeing Auburn's miracles and Miss State start 9-0, anything is possible.

Until we can see some tangible proof that our QB situation is anything other than a disaster, I'm going with 9-3. I think we have enough talent to win 10+ games with average QB play, and if Harris can put together a really nice season, we have national title potential. There's a lot of teams replacing key players, so it's a wide open year. When you look at our OL, TE, WR and RB groups, I think we're the most experienced, deepest offense in the conference. We need to spread the field, plain and simple. No more of this one-route, play action bullshite that we run into the ground. No more running into stacked boxes. Cam needs to earn his pay and start calling plays that give our playmakers a chance in space.

I think the defense will be top 3 this year in the conference. Steele worries me as a coordinator, but I think we see improved DL, LB and DB play overall. Our position coaches are the best of the best defensively. Just hope that Steele can have everyone in the right place at the right time.

McNeese, EMU, Syracuse and WKU = 4-0

@MSU, @USC, @Bama and @OM = 2-2

Auburn, UF, Ark and A&M = 3-1

Seriously though, if we beat Auburn in double overtime, someone please help walk me home (or to a comfy sleeping place), 'cause we gonna party big.

The only way we make this a great Offensive year is if Harris plays and if Harris plays well. Other than that, Jennings will give us sub-par play, and wins will come from Fournette running over people.

I have no confidence in Jennings. He is like Abby Wombach for Team USA- the team looks to her to make plays, but even when she has something so basic- like a PK- to make, she disappoints.

I say 9-3. But I hope for 11-1

My season prediction:

LSU 45
McNeese 3

Will update before each game. I'm taking this season one game at a time.

I'd love to be as optimistic, but past performance is usually the best indicator of future results. That being the case, there has only been 2 seasons in Les Miles' 10 years as LSU's head coach where his team didn't lose AT LEAST 2 regular season games ('05, '11). Both years LSU was ranked in the top 5 going into the season. Unfortunately, that's not going to be the case going into this season.

The SEC West alone is as tough as it's ever been and there is nothing to indicate that the necessary changes (scheme/personnel) will be made to make LSU a threatening offense. I'd love to be wrong, but there are at least 2 SEC loses on that schedule with the possibility for more.

If we lose one game, it won't be to Bama. Why do so many people see them on the schedule and assume it's an automatic loss? Les has gone toe to toe with Nick and outcoached him more than once. They're nowhere close to invincible.

ETA: Very nice work, though . Adds to my excitement about what could be a special season.

Nice work Schwartzy!

I think you are very close to being spot on!

Many already have LF winning the Heisman in a landslide, and that coupled with our deep and talented roster, I can see no more than one loss. I do not see us losing a game, but the Auburn, Arkansas, and Bama games will be hard fought and can go either way.

I think we go 14-1 at the very worst, and enter 2016 as the #1 team in the country and the team to beat.

Who exactly? And in a landslide, too? I want all these things too but I'm really curious as to what some of you base these ultra bold and high expectations on.

I think the over/under should be 3 losses. I think when all is said and done we will have 2 losses. One of which being outplayed, and the other being a "wtf" outcome.
